Thanks so much. I figured out from your example to change the noteheads to slashes, instead of using 'rhythmic notation'.
But I seem to have a glitch with my Finale program where I can't access the plug-ins menu, so I'll have to sort that out before I can hide the ledger lines.

rhythm notation above staff?
Hi there Is there any way of inserting/repositioning rhythmic notation above a staff, such as you might find in a jazz chart with rhythm cues above the melody. I don't want a separate staff just for the rhythm, as I just want to indicate it for certain measures. Even if there was a way of reposition...

Measure numbers only at start of staff
Is there a way to display measure numbers only at the start of each staff, without manually deleting all the other numbers measure by measure. I've tried everything I can think of in the Measure Number edit box but can't work it out.
