Re: How to play 1 semitone down
Mmmm doesn't work for me. Whatever I set in the Key SIgnature Transposition changes the notes written and the key, when the only thing I want to be changed is the sound. I want the program to read something and play it a semitone down but without changing the score at all.

How to play 1 semitone down
I want to write F Bb C D but when I press the play button get E A B C#. I have tried every possibility in "Transposition" in the Score Manager but don't seem to be able to get it done. Thanks in advance

Add an instrument for only 15 bars
I have a piano score in which I'd like to add the trumpet part for only 15 bars, and they are not located at the beginning, but in the middle of the song. Is it possible to do? How? Thanks in advance?

Finale Lyrics Font
I am using Finale 2014 for Windows and have recently discovered that I don't have the Finale Lyrics Font installed in my system. I don't have the .ttf file either. After searching for it on the Internet I've found nothing, and now I don't know what to do. Does anyone know where can I download the fo...

Re: Problems with OS X El Capitán
In the MakeMusic website I can only find a free trial 2014.5 that apparently will only last for 30 days. Do you know about any other option?

Problems with OS X El Capitán
I have recently upgraded to MacOS X El Capitán from Mavericks (a bad idea, as I have just discovered) and now, when I try to use the articulation tool, as soon as I click on a note to write an articulation in it, the program crashes and, which is even worse, the file I was working in is no longer wr...

Re: ungroup notes
I'm sorry about my poor English . I meant just like in the left hand. If you look at the picture, you'll see that the eights are grouped in a different way in right and left hand, and I want the two of them to look like in the left. I hope that this time i am explaining myself better.

Re: turning two staves into one melodic line
OK, it worked perfectly . The most difficult part was to figure out which time signature I had to choose to make the "Rebeam to time signature" work.

Re: turning two staves into one melodic line
Well, I already know how to do the whole thing, expect for the whole rest that appears and that I can't delete. I imagine that it should donde using the cross staff plugin, but after trying every single combination of configurations it doesn't seem to work. This is the result: caresse.jpg Thank you ...

Re: turning two staves into one melodic line
Than you very much. That is exactly what I was looking for . One more thing: is it possible to set the "joining line of the eight notes" (don't know how to say that in English) in the middle of the two staffs?

turning two staves into one melodic line
I have this kind of piano melodic line shown in the attached file melodia.jpg and would like to rebeam it so that: - The rests disappear - All the 8th notes are joined together through the two staves I've tried all the plugins and rebeam utilies but nothing seems to work. Any suggestion would be gre...

Re: glockenspiel tessitura
Thanks for your response. In this case concert pitch is still worse, since it raises the glockenspiel part one octave higher (and obviously doesn't sound), but anyway it's an interesting thing to take into account for other works.

glockenspiel tessitura
Finally I got my Garritan instruments working (it took me a while...) and they sound nice :) but I have a problem with the glockenspiel tessitura. If I write the glockensipel part in its nomal tessitura, it doesn't sound at all, because Garritan tries to play it way higher than it is, and those extr...

VST.png I am trying to get my score sounding through the Garritan instruments. After searching for information, I understand that I must go to the MIDI/Audio menu and select "Play Finale through VST", but that option doesn't appear in my Finale 2012 for Mac. I enclose a picture showing the issue. D...
