:D Joe R at MakeMusic solved the problem. I had an iSight camera (which contains a mic) plugged in to my iMac. All I had to do was unplug the iSight and PrintMusic functioned perfectly. I had not. And by "off" I assume you mean "mute" it. So I tried muting all the sound inputs and still Finale 2014 would not launch.

I just downloaded PrintMusic 2014 and installed it. Installation seem to go well, but when I attempt to run the program it won't open--the icon just bounces and I eventually have to "Force Quit" it. I'm using a Mac running OS 10.9.2 with 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 8 GB of memory. Any suggestions?...
