Re: copy drum grooves from one project to another
drumstudio2000, I took a look at your document. Indeed I can confirm the problem - it happens to me as well. Fortunately the fix is simple: Staff Tool. Double-click the staff. The dialog box Staff Attributes appears. In the pane “Independent Elements”, de-select “Time Signature”. Since this documen...

Re: copy drum grooves from one project to another
In order to avoid a lot of trouble I would instead use the original document as a template for the new document. Make a duplicate copy of the document, open the duplicate, remove the notes, and save the empty document as a template. …I’m trying to export my drum project audio, but I need to export ...

Re: how to use dc al fine
I took a look at your document. 1) Since you do not have a Fine in this document, you should edit the text repeat, and change the text from “D. C. al Fine” to e. g. “D. C. senza rip.”. To edit a text repeat, hold down Shift while double-clicking the repeat handle. 2) You have set up measure 44’s “D...

Re: how to use dc al fine
You are using Finale 2010, right? I suggest that you attach a (small) Finale 2010 .mus sample document here for the gurus to examine. Before you can attach a .mus document in this forum, you must compress it, e. g. as a .zip file. And the file size must not be more than max. 100 KB. To reduce the f...

Re: how to use dc al fine
…I have 8 systems on my project, each of one consists in 4 or 8 bars with repeats (twice each one) I want finale to play each system, and after play the last bar, return to da capo and make all over again, but WITHOUT repeats… Your words “return to da capo” do not make sense here. You probably mean...

Re: How to change tempo on repeats?
1) I suppose that your attachment is a screen shot from another music program? 2) I am not sure I understand, what problem you are trying to solve (= for what you need the desired feature). As Far As I Know, there is not a Finale window that looks/functions like your attachment shows. If you could ...

Re: How to change tempo on reteats?
thanks peter, with your help now I can make a bar repeats more than 20 times, thanks. last Q does finale 2010 (or any other version) has the option of showing up a dedicated metronome window? Re: How to change tempo on repeats?
drumstudio2000, I do not have Finale 2010 installed on this computer. I am not able to reproduce your problem with my own copy of Finale 2012. With Finale 2012 I get correct count off tempo, no matter what repeat Finale begins from. You may have found a bug in Finale 2010. I suggest that you contac...

Re: How to change tempo on reteats?
Any suggestions? I know how to change tempo of one bar using tempo markers, but the count off is not following that. For example I have one bar that will play 8 times: first repeat: quarter 60 2nd repeat: quearter 80 3rd repeat: quarter 100 4th repeat: quarter 120pm ..but the count off is following ...

Re: How to change tempo on repeats?
drumstudio2000, Are you using Finale 2010? I think that you can change tempo with expressions. I would use the expression category “Tempo Marks” - or create a new expression category by duplicating the category “Tempo Marks”. Use one expression for the first 8 times. In the Playback chiclet, set th...

Re: How to change tempo on reteats?
I think it can be done with expressions, but why not just write it out the long way? (IMO, this is the easier way!) If this is just for a practice loop, what difference does it make on paper? You can always do another chart, with the instructions written out, for print. hi miker, it isnt for practi...

How to change tempo on repeats?
Hi, I want to know if there is a way to play a two bar phrase and, for example, play it
8 times at quarter=100bpm, followed by
8 times at quarter= 60bpm and so on.
I imagine it could be using endings (but dont know really how)...or there is another easiest way?
thanks!
