Sorry, David, that doesn't work.
On Preferences > View, the only options are "Show actual measure number" or "Show defined measure numbers." Nothing about turning the measure number bar (below the toolbar) on and off.
Do you know how to do that?

Here it is 2019 and I'm having the same problem with the latest version of Finale. Headphones are plugged into the computer, they work fine with EVERY other sound-producing app EXCEPT Finale.
