As a music teacher I totally agree. You need to leaven the double flats and/or sharps in the correct spelling of the scales.Bad decision. Students will encounter double-alteration notation visually many times in their lives, and they will not have the reading skills.

Re: 1st and 2nd time bars in measure count
Florio60, I am sorta rebel as I don't really care how somebody says or claims how things should be. I only want to make sure that the musicians know and easily understand what I want and intend. Do it however it makes the most sense to you and your intended group. If that means following the book fi...

Re: Perfect layout is moving the measure numbers in score
Next time, or try it on the score you are working on now, by not setting up the measure numbers before running PL. Run PL and then set up your measure numbers. Of course if you play around with your current score do it on a copy not the original . I'll bet PL works a lot better for you that way. If ...

I like miker's suggestion but you can select both parentheses and use the down arrow key to place them where ever you want.
Very easy and quick to do.

Re: Digital parts - how do they work?
IMHO, writing a score that can only be played successfully by musicians that have an iPad is not a good idea. Perhaps one day but not in 2024. Again, IMHO as usual.

Re: Perfect layout is moving the measure numbers in score
My preferred way is to not have measure numbers in the score before running PL. I insert them afterwards. Even when it works correctly PL makes a convoluted series of measure number regions which is OK but it bothers me as I like it to be as less cluttered as possible. Sometimes my scores have their...

Re: Backup in Finale 27
Are you sure it is a Finale file? What if you rename it jose.musx. Try that.
The name itself isn't important to a degree but the file extension is and it must be a file made by Finale.

Right click on the desktop.
In the Display Setting drop down type "high contrast" in the search field. Select "Dessert" and see if that helps.

Jose,
On your desk top, no other program running or open, type File Explorer in the search field at the bottom of your screen. This will open where you need to be. Don't use Finale and or certainly not chrome to do this.

Re: v27 Problem #44: ARIA 1.9.6.7 Wait Till You Hear This One!
You are receiving that error message because the file you are opening used a different Aria Engine version than what you currently have installed on your computer. If you go to MIDI/Audio > Reassign Playback Sounds, the playback should work just fine. The Aria Engine is used for other libraries othe...

Billy it (Finale 27) will work and it will work well. Plus you don't have to do special tasks 54 times. If I may suggest, do you have a computer savvy person that could come by and make sure the installation is done correctly?

I don't know if you use plug-ins and scripts but there is a RPG Lus script that puts most all page settings on one place. Page Format Wizard.

Re: Copying multiple measures with many clef changes
No before you do anything make a "Save as" new file. Don't mess with the original. Before you copy, make sure you have selected "Copy Clefs: Always" in the Edit Filter
Another thought you can do whatever to this save as file. Just select and delete what you don't want.

At this point I would suggest if you know a friend that is a computer guru or you have a store like Mic...

Re: TRUMPET Low F# Not Sounding--Gb Too
Wow, jazz charts routinely have a trumpet part with two ledger line A, B above it and middle C. At least all the ones I have seen or played....Lower than that I wouldn't write for a Big Band section.
