Oh, good! (Silly me, I confused clefs and key signatures!)

I can't say I've had experience with nonstandard key signatures, but check the copy filter and make sure "Copy clefs: always" is selected.

As a software engineer, I'm not sure that fixing most of the bugs would require ripping up huge swathes of code. For example, one of the worst ones involved Finale's temp files being purged by the operating system while they were still in use. This resulted in the music being worked on not being abl...

They were always behind on fixing bugs, but there were real improvements over the years until the company was sold to Peaksware, which had nothing to do with music or software, and they moved from Minnesota to Boulder and they lost most of their development team.

I'm guessing it's a Macintosh issue.

I stopped at Finale 2014.5, but I thought it was articulations that were automatically stacked in later versions. Expressions, too?

You might try putting the non-sounding notes in another layer for playback, and suppressing their display.

Same problem when I play it. I don't think you're doing anything wrong. HP has bugs.

I looked in on the "Zendesk" forums a couple of times; didn't seem very good.

A staff style can be applied to only part of the staff.

Presumably you've tried rebooting? Then I would try reinstalling Finale. As a last resort, you could try undoing the update (I'm afraid I don't know how to to that, but I think it's possible)

Edit the staff attributes for those staves and uncheck the things you don't want to see, for example

You can either set your time signature to 4/4 displayed as 2/2, for example--though that might affect rests that you don't enter explicitly--or else use Utilities/Rebeam/Rebeam to Time Signature = 4/4.

Jose Oscar, looks like you enter renamed a .musx file to .mxl, or did Save as type .musx but give it a .mxl name. That's not how you create a MusicXML file. Use File/Export/MusicXML.
