Re: Tin Whistle transposition in Finale V25
Hilarious, I just googled this question in 2022 and found the exact question as phrased, I thought brilliant! only to realise that it was my question of 2018 Thanks Mike I will write it as non transposing part from the octave off set you mention. Re: Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra
I have tried this but I am struggling to play separate sections of the orchestra on each staff staff-1 violin staff-2 violin 2 staff-3 viola, staff-4 cello It appears that the settings are linked and as soon as I change the second staff, or the cello staff it resets the others staffs to cello too, I...

Thanks for this Warren, I know it's been a while and the OP doesn't have appeared to acknowledge this but it I helpful to me. Especially the standard HP making non standard assumptions. I was not aware of that.

Re: Hide group name in part?
Thanks Pete!
Worked for me.
I don't know if it's just me but when I have a question (or often forgotten the answer from the last time I asked the question...)
I feel it's quicker to type the question into google than search the manual.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer on these forums.

Re: Saving customised Recorder settings
OK thanks N. That's a backward step then as far as I can see, as I would think that to be able to customise the text config file was a pretty good selling feature. Thanks for prompt reply. Templates are great but my participants are constantly changing so it would have been a very nice to have. I've...

Saving customised Recorder settings
Hi all, Firstly thanks for all the informative responses that I read through, and the selfless help that you all give, much appreciated. I know you probably don't need any thanks but it doesn't hurt to offer it anyways. I have a participant in one of my sessions who wants to dabble with a treble (al...

Re: Tin Whistle transposition in Finale V25
I am pretty sure she won’t know Pete. She is a complete beginner on tin whistle. I was hoping some folk players with experience could enlighten me! I will ask around. I trawled yesterday but the answers seemed very subjective. Non were from finale users.

Tin Whistle transposition in Finale V25
HNY to everyone, I have a session participant that has a tin whistle in D As a saxophonist I would play this as if I am starting with all six holes covered as D and the F is already sharp as is the C I would happily play concert pitch music that is in D see attached file. So using that as an example...

Re: Finale is A NIGHTMARE, PLEASE HELP!!
I am just looking at adding stems and rests to the notation on tablature for a bass player in my community music group and saw this reply as part of my searching Mike. Thanks for the long reply much appreciated! I presume the op sent you flowers or a private email to thank you as I see no reply here...
