Assuming you want to copy m. 2-3 to new measures, when I pasted it looked exactly like the original measures. Do you possibly have a filter applied? "Edit/use filter" should be cleared.

Many software companies only offer customer support for limited periods of time. V26 was released five years ago. I don't think it's unreasonable for them to limit free support. Anyway, I suspect many of the inquiries they receive are from people who don't really know how to use Finale

Open score manager, add a new instrument (blank staff, if desired). It should appear at the top, but if not, select and drag the hamburger on the left side of new instrument in the score manager to the position you want.

Motet - your example works as long as notes have been entered in the staff above the whole note staff. Move those notes to the fourth stave with a blank staff above the whole note one, and HP doesn't work when staff set 2 and 4 is selected. Try it and let us know the results. It's a curiosity.

Motet, your file works - until you put notes in one of the other staves. Then HP doesn't play. Perhaps I'm missing something here, but I believe the OP is correct. I use Windows so it's not Win vs Mac.

I just tested it and as you report, it doesn't work. I also tested it on ver. 26 - doesn't work there either. Suggest you fill out a bug report with MakeMusic, for all the good it will do.

Hairpins aren't entered with a single click. Double-click and hold the mouse button down on the second click, then drag to create the hairpin. It works as you described: hold the "A" key and drag the mouse and it applies the articulation to the highlighted notes. Drag without selecting a metatool key and it brings up the "apply" window for the selected notes. Unfortunately I don't have a solution to your problem. Perhaps reset preferences?

Those instruments have different transpositions, while marimba is written at concert pitch. Check the setting in the score manager.

One other basic check (it's happened to many many times): check Midi/Audio...VST Banks and Effects to ensure the volume slider is on. When opening a new bank it sometimes defaults to zero.

If that doesn't work, from an analytical standpoint, I would try adding a staff, entering some of the same notes and assigning the same instrument. If you've been exporting the tracks individually one-by-one rather than as a single midi file containing multiple tracks then Human Playback may be treating the individual tracks' tempo differently from one another.
