for now, from what I've read after posting about an issue I had with XML import into Dorico, D. seems to have some issues with longer files I think. I imported the XML of my violin concerto, and about halfway through the 2nd movement noteheads started disappearing, leaving only beams, dynamics, som...

Re: Finale 27 blog post
HP requires specific slots, regardless of the character in that slot, to trigger specific playback actions. I am going to assume that with Finale properly complying with the SMuFL protocols that HP will work correctly (or at least as close to what it has in the past). If they have to reprogram how ...

Re: Measured tremolo in Human Playback...
I seem to remember this is dependent on the tempo. At slower tempi you get measured // but at faster tempi it is interpreted as unmeasured. Same way as human pb activates spiccato... I think it's in the Manual, but I may be wrong...

Re: Noteperformer and Finale 26
Looks correct and it does work, but the effect is pretty subtle compared to what you might want in this context. I seem to remember from other fora that Wallander is not too keen on introducing user defined interpretation options. (some have suggested different attack settings for strings e.g. and t...

Re: Noteperformer and Finale 26
FWIW, there is something called 'permanent tenuto mode' which can be activated by sending a value of 1 to CC108. (and deactivate by sending 0. ) I haven't explored it though.

Tried it on a score and it made matters 300% worse... then tried it on single staff parts and it worked wonders!!! This is merely an initial observation, not a final judgement. I'm optimistic, but find it strange that such a major effort with such huge potential isn't stirring up more social traffic...

Re: Delay when opening Finale
It's called Finale ReWire Device x64.dll (at least on Win). Was first introduced in 25 I think. It won't act up until you have started another application which can also be a ReWire master, such as Cubase. The next time Finale is starting, it spends some time looking for this boss :) One can reset r...

So, my question (obviously) is: is there a way in Finale to make the a.2 text increase the part dynamically? With Finale, even a modest, less-than-5 year old Windows laptop will outperform a Mac Pro with a factor of 10. Apple evangelists should really eat their pride and check it out
