I only had one region. I usually split large files into regions and only change the measure numbers of that region and then put them together as PDFs. I'm glad to hear it's a bug and not something I did inadvertently. Thank heavens for time machine!

I just checked and it did say "Display defined measure numbers." I'll switch it to "Display actual measure numbers." But first, just in case, I'll save the piece with another name! I never know when I'm opening a can of worms. Thanks for the tip.

Well I'll be darned! I had always done my triplets starting with option-3 and then I would press 4 which indicated I wanted my triplets to be eighth notes which gave me the problem. I didn't even know the option-1 existed. That sure solved my problem and it's going to save me a lot of time! Thanks.

Yes, I noticed it didn't work when I didn't click "auto freeze." And you're right, their definition for "auto freeze" was that it was like auto freeze in the speedy menu, which didn't tell me much. I guess as long as the right things are checked even if they don't make sense, it works.
