This is worse than I thought.

I followed the advice to open Security settings and click the CANCEl box, etc. Twenty or so apps later, Finale opened and functions normally. JWPlugins, however are no longer available from the menu.

Apparently the files cannot be validated: MacOS cannot verify that the files are free of malware. Yesterday they were.

This morning I updated the OS to 10.15.4. When I opened Finale each JW plug in "bundle" was flagged and offered to the trash. That makes for a long opening sequence - and no plugins! What's up?

On my Mac it is simple. Once you have the piece with all its separate line in Finale, go to Plugins > Scoring and arranging > Piano reduction. That should add a grand staff to the bottom of your score.

I am baffled by this passage. The bass line played by the right hand is struck and sustained while the right hand ascends to the treble clef. I load the Erhu into the Aria Player. One of the articulation options is Tremolo. When I select it, the erhu sound is unaffected. The other options work as expected.

Yes! It works on your sample file, and presumably elsewhere. I select a measure and a beat, but copy to a full measure. Could be a problem it there is already an articulation on the extra beat, but I'll cross that bridge later.
