Re: 1st/2nd time dynamics with noteperformer 4

I am assuming GIFF is Garritan Instruments For Finale. I don't use this sound family, only Noteperformer. So what you are saying is that there is something in Finales sound processing code that happened somewhere before version 27 that negates both the first/second time only commands in the expressi...

1st/2nd time dynamics with noteperformer 4

Hello all. Finale 27 with noteperformer 4, windows 11, blah blah Trying to use the "play first/second pass only" commands to create different dynamics on a first or second time thru a repeat is not working. I have also tried using a dynamic marking but using controller 7 for playback definition and ...

Re: Mixer Loads Very slowly in Finale 27

Not only does it load very slowly for me, it stays 'blank' until I move the open window over to the other monitor. Then it takes 3-5 seconds before the machine responds to commands again, and that keeps happening every single time I play anything back. Windows 11, i9, 64gb ram, all SSHDs. Kontakt, Q...

playback pallette too small

I am using a two monitor set up (laptop/external), Finale v26, windows 10 No matter what resolution I choose on the larger monitor, the playback control strip is smaller than everything else. It is also offset, meaning I have to push the record button for play and the play button for stop, etc. When...

Human playback random articulation

I have a recurring situation (not specific to one score or file) where the length of notes being played will change after a repeat. Usually, in lets say a march, the piece will articulate correctly at first, then after a repeat the notes will be played much longer, then after another repeat later in...

Re: Brass sounds in GPO

I mainly write for wind band: flute, oboe, bassoon, full clarinet and sax sections, trumpets, cornets, horns, trombones, euphoniums, tubas, full percussion. I write some string music and chamber music but I am primarily concerned with the brass sounds for indoor (concert) band and outdoor (marching)...

Re: Brass sounds in GPO

Could you point me in the right direction please? I got cubase as a free download with my Yamaha workstation. I have looked at the cinebrass and cinesamples library, but I have read that they do not play well with finale (articulation issues). I was really looking for something the Aia player engine...

Brass sounds in GPO

Hello all. Public School band director here with nearly 30 years of experience. I run finale 25 on windows 10 on a newer PC. I have GPO and also COMB2. My problem is this: I find the woodwind and percussion sounds to be acceptable. I find the upper brass sounds (trumpets, especially) to not sound go...
