How to get tablature on only first system
I have a song with a 4-measure intro that I want to show guitar tablature for, but I don't want the tablature on subsequent systems of the song. Is there a way I can remove the tablature part from subsequent systems?

Why are parts bracketed?
I created a new score with separate parts for guitar and bass and somehow they default to being bracketed. It's caused problems when I'm extracting parts. Other than a 2-handed keyboard part, I don't see why parts should appear bracketed. Can I change the default on this? Screen Shot 2022-03-28 at 2...

Help changing chord symbols/sounds
I had previously written minor 7th chords as "min7" but want to switch it to "m7" to save space, but on playback the chords are major. When I first tried to enter "m7" for the chord quality, Finale said it wasn't in the library so I added it and never got the error message again. How can I change th...

A couple recent Finale files I created suddenly lost playback sound using Audio Units - they work fine when I switch to MIDI playback. Can someone help me troubleshoot?

Multimeasure rest problem
I'm running Finale 25.5.0.259 for Mac, doing a score with multiple parts and the multimeasure tool isn't working. I select the Multimeasure Rests > Create for Parts/Score, make sure all the parts are checked off, but it does nothing, no multimeasures rests in any extracted parts or the score. What a...

Baritone ukulele TAB?
I'm trying to do a baritone ukulele tab part, strings tuned D-G-B-E (low to high), but that instrument isn't listed in the TAB options. I went to Score Manager, added a ukulele and edited the instrument (changed MIDI pitch values for each) but when I click OK it doesn't add the instrument to the tab...

Fixing eighth note beaming
I have a 3-beat pickup measure with eighth notes that's annoyingly beaming all six eighth notes (3 beats) together. I want the "2 and" separate from the "3 and 4 and." How can I fix this?

Tablature copy/paste problems
I'm trying to copy/paste notes from a guitar part in treble clef into a tablature part. It asks to specify the lowest fret and I make sure it says "0" but when I hit OK it puts them on lower strings/higher frets. In the attached screenshot beats 2 and 4 should be on strings 2, 3 & 4 open, but they'r...

Tablature copy/paste problems
When I copy notes from a treble clef guitar part and paste them into a guitar tab part, the tab is often totally inaccurate with no relation to the treble clef notes. Not an octave above/below, and sometimes fret numbers will go up as the melody goes down. Is there a way to fix this? Screen Shot 202...

Tablature problems
I did a couple lines of standard notation that I copied and pasted into the guitar tab part. For both I indicated the lowest fret should be 7. You can see it worked on the first line, but when I did the second copy/paste the fret numbers were totally off (and curiously looked greyed out/yellowed out...

Disappearing icons in Simple Entry toolbar
My friend is running Finale Mac 2014.5 on Mac OS 10.12.6. A few days ago his Simple Entry palate lost a bunch of choices. There's only 4 icons showing up (see screenshot). Does anyone know how to fix this?

Adding natural sign (accidental)
I have a measure of music that has an F# (accidental) but later on in the measure I want to indicate an F natural. I can't find it in any of the menus. In older versions of Finale I recall there was a special accidental tool. I'm running 25.5.0.259 for Mac.

How to fix automatic chord spellings (e.g. E# not F)
I'm writing out a C# major scale and using the chord tool for labeling the notes. As music nerds know, the third note is E# but Finale insists on spelling it as the enharmonic "correct" F. I tried messing around with manual entry but got nowhere. Is there a fix?

Accidental question/problem
My key signature is C major, but I have a measure with an Eb chord that's going to have some Eb's in the melody. The first note I entered an E plus a - (flat accidental), but then in the next Eb an octave higher it entered it on playback as E natural, and forced me to add a flat to it (even though t...

Setting space between parts
I've got one part of standard notation and a tab part underneath. I want .75" between these parts/staves throughout the whole piece. Right now I've been going line by line with the staff tool, dragging the tab line up manually to .75. There's got to be a quicker way to do this right?

How to get rid of N.C.
Someone sent me a Finale file that has a stray N.C. mark ("no chord" I presume) in the music. I can't find it to get rid of in the chord tool or anything. How do I get rid of it?

Rebeaming eighth notes in 5/4
I've got a song in 5/4 and I'm trying to beam eighth notes in groups of 2 beats (so in the attached screenshot "4-and-5-and" would be beamed together). I assume it's the 5/4 that's throwing this whole thing off. How do I fix this?

Hammer-on in guitar tab not showing "H"
Trying to articulate a hammer-on followed by a pull-off in this triplet. I selected the slur tool, double clicked on the first note of the triplet, then pressed Option + the custom line tool. I then scrolled down until I found the "H", selected it, but all I get is the slur mark with no H showing. I...
