Re: finale and cubase
No I don’t but it wouldn’t be that hard to do. Unfortunately, spare time is a precious commodity. I’m spending a huge number of hours helping churches do services online. If I ever work with my choirs and bands in person again, it would be fun to knock something out. I wouldn’t use one of my client...

JW Lua - Multiple Items
Hey Folks, I'm finally getting my feet wet on JW Lua. Quick question: On this line: local onlychangecertainnoteduration=1024 I want to add multiple items, but I can't get it to work. I'm trying local onlychangecertainnoteduration=1536, 1024, 512 local onlychangecertainnoteduration=1536+1024+512 (thi...

Re: finale and cubase
Dorico imports XML very well, but exports it poorly. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I agree only with the exports…poorly part. Dorico 3.1, which just came out, greatly improves XML import. I’d call it quite functional now, though of course there’s always room for improvement. Dan is righ...

Quick Staff Creation
Hi Folks, I found this discussion with Jari but the thread never concluded: http://jwmusic.nu/pipermail/jwlua_jwmusic.nu/2014-May/001946.html Does anyone have a time-efficient workaround to create staffs? I'm thinking in the direction of creating blank staff and then applying staff-styles for instru...

Transposing Instruments - 6 sharps/flats
Hi Forum,
I have a Tenor Sax that I'd like to see in Gb-major instead of F#.
I know it can be done via independent key signature, but is there a more elegant way?
Thanks,
Best

FWI, I realized on the project template was the same problem. Redefining pages got it all straightened out, thanks!

Re: Staff Size Different Staff Size per Part
I see. The messy ones are all single staffs, no systems.
Thanks for the redefine hint, might be a little late for that, but I'll remember that next time.
Thanks folks,
As always,

Staff Size Different Staff Size per Part
Hi Folks,
There's something I must be missing.
In the parts of this piece I'm working on, I have differences in staff sizes that shouldn't be there.
I did resize to 100% on all of them but to no effect.
Could someone show me what I'm missing?
Thanks,
Best,
apkyburz

JW Change - Sequence Editor - File Location
Hi Forum,
I'm porting to a different computer. Does anyone know where Jari defined the location for the presets I created in JW Change's Sequence Editor? I'm on MacOS.
Thanks,
Best,

Looking for Notehead
Hi Forum,
I'm looking for the notehead in the pic. I either can't find or don't have it in the Symbol Selection Page.
Can somebody give me a hand?
Thx.

Noteheads - Rhythic Half Notes
Hi Forum,
I'm a little in puddle. I want to improve Finale's standard rhythmic note head.
Does anyone half a hollow half-note for rhytmic noteheads in their toolbox and is willing to share?
Thanks a ton,

Re: Chord Tool: Quick Respell
Being in C-major key, Chord tool. entering C#m7 with MIDI Piano, it gets spelled as a Dbm7. Always curious but why change it? Hi Jan, film cue reduction stuff; we're in D but it's all keyless. If it is a long string of chord symbols, then use the Selection Tool to select the region, and try Utiliti...

Chord Tool: Quick Respell
Hi,
Being in C-major key, Chord tool. entering C#m7 with MIDI Piano, it gets spelled as a Dbm7.
Is there a way to quickly respell a chord, à la "Enharmonic Respell, keypad "9" in Speedy Entry"?
Thanks,
apkyburz

Hi Forum,
Are clefs represented in the filter? If yes, under what domain? I can't find them.

Re: Cross staff question
Hi Motet,
This has worked for me:
1. Unbeam all notes
2. Apply Cross Staff Plugin
3. Apply Patterson Beam Selection to the whole selection.

Re: Saving time signatures?
Hi Forum,
I've noticed a couple mistakes in the macro, I've sorted them out.
Find the zip file attached here.
Nick, I've tried the macro for your issue and I'm getting workable results.
Best,
apkyburz

Re: Saving time signatures?
Hi all, Upon Peter Thomsen input, I went ahead and created a few macros that work as a 'multiple clipboard feature'. This is for Keyboard Maestro, MacOS. Zip file is attached on the bottom. One shortcut saves clip-files into the download folder (choose a different folder if you like). Another short...
