Re: Loudness Numbers on Staves
N. Grossingink, Apparently, it is the velocity numbers that should be written. I would like them to written exactly where they can be written if they were Italian words like presto - either just above or just below the staff that they apply to. I would like to know how too do that. Thank you for you...

Loudness Numbers on Staves
I recently learned how to place tempo numbers at the top of the score. I wonder if there is a similar function for controlling loudness for each staff that would place a number at a given staff to give that instrument a numbered loudness instead of being restricted to words like forte and piano. I t...

Re: Tempo Change in Beats Per Minute in Score
Motet,
I don’t know how to get to the expression designer. I can find tools > expression and the click the arrow on the top of the top staff and then select tempo marks from the menu. It doesn’t do number of beats.
I just do’t know how to get the screen you printed.

Tempo Change in Beats Per Minute in Score
I would like to set a Tempo Change in Beats Per Minute in the Score by seeing something written above the highest staff to set the beats per minute. Can this be done?

Keyboard selection of pitches and staves
Most instruments can be notated on staves that play their sound in a different octave from that shown in the notation. This may not be true of the keyboard instruments in Finale. The higher pitches of a piano seem to require placing the notes on an absurd number of ledger lines because the usual fun...

Re: Articulation Designer for Guitar Chords
Miker,
Thank you for this message.
I don't mind entering the chord name and duration if I come to know how, but I would like the playback to be strumming rather than all the notes in the chord beginning and ending at the same time.

Articulation Designer for Guitar Chords
I have never tried to use the Finale guitar chords. I could just as well write in all of the notes except getting the strumming is very difficult because of the timing of the string attacks. I got some information on line which mentioned an Articulation Designer. After selecting the articulation des...

Re: Pulling up or down the pitch of a note
I just found a curious method. I use the tie icon and it allows me to pull the note up or down, usually leaving a tie that is not tied to a next note. Then I can go through and delete all of the ties.
Is there a better method?

Pulling up or down the pitch of a note
I am familiar with the option to change the pitch of a note by using the cursor pointer and pulling a note up or down. As far as I know, this must be done only after selecting the same note duration as the note one wishes to alter in pitch. Otherwise, the note will change time value to whatever was ...

Keyboard selection of pitches and durations
I am interested in using the QWERTY keyboard to specify note pitches and durations but when I look for the information it seems to be all about dictation, which I assume is speaking into the microphone to specify these things or something. Can somebody tell me where I can find this information? Than...

I have been trying to effect a crescendo in a line of music. I don't know how to make sure that Human feedback is active and I have been un...
