Re: E-MU audio interface and Windows 10
Hello All, I finally made some progress with getting the E-MU box to play nicely with Windows 10 1903. Over the course of a few weeks, I tried several times to get Windows to allow the update from 1809 to 1903, but they always said it was available, but my computer wasn't ready. I finally uninstalle...

Re: E-MU audio interface and Windows 10
Thanks for all the replies. Since I originally posted my question about 2 years ago, there has been a number of recent articles on the Internet about getting the E-MU box and Windows 10 to play nicely that I hadn't seen before. (The real issue is not USB -- it doesn't connect via USB, but an interna...

Re: E-MU audio interface and Windows 10
Thanks for the reply! Do you have an E-MU 1820 (or similar) and does ASIO4ALL work with it instead of the original driver? I've used ASIO with my USB (musical) keyboard, but the E-MU is definitely NOT USB. It has it's own protocols and therefore it's own special driver. Back in April, I was able to ...

E-MU audio interface and Windows 10
I've been using an E-MU 1820 audio interface on my music computer ever since Windows XP. It has a hardware card in the computer which attaches to a separate box that has connections for MIDI, mics, line inputs/outputs, speakers, S/PDIF, and headphones. Of course, this device is no longer supported w...

Re: Trumpet in C in score, Bb in part
There is an option in the part called something like Unlink from Score. I'll check the exact wording. That's how you do it. Zuill P.S.: "Unlink all instruments in this part". This is found in the Score manager when in the part. Attached is a sample. Aha -- that works nicely. I also rediscovered tha...

Trumpet in C in score, Bb in part
Finale 25.4 Windows I don't think this should be that hard, but maybe I'm missing something. I have a score for a friend -- SATB with piano and organ. She now wants to add a trumpet. I suggested we put Trumpet in C in the score (in case the organist wants to fill in) and then produce C and Bb parts ...

Re: Printing parts
The Customer Service rep from MM had me collect some system information data files. He also suggested I reinstall my printer. So, I deleted my HP printer, went to HP.com and downloaded a new driver install package, and reinstalled the printer. That seems to have fixed the problem. But, it seems stra...

Re: Printing parts
I have the same problem, but I don't use the Microsoft Print to PDF driver. My default printer is a local network HP LaserJet, so the Makemusic solution doesn't work for me. I posted a support request to MM -- we'll see what they come up with. BTW: If I open my score in Finale 14.5, all the print op...

Re: Keyboard Keyboard
The box and keyboard are still sitting on my shelf in the computer room. The box says: Works with the following standards * Microsoft Windows 98 SE * Microsoft Windows 2000 * Microsoft Windows Me * Microsoft Windows XP * General MIDI It also came with a SoundBlaster 128 card. Requires Intel Pentium ...

Re: Authorization needed?
I'm just throwing this out there as I know everyone has their own ways of doing things. I used to pin app shortcuts to the bottom taskbar. In fact I had so many favorites on my software devel computer (8 or so), I doubled the height so they'd take up a little less space horizontally. This was on Win...

Re: Two bar repeats and colors questions
For your first question, yes -- the two bar repeat symbol means play those 2 bars again 1 time.
Sorry, but I don't know an answer for the PDF issue. I generally export/print my music in black and white. I'm sure one of the experts here on the forums will be able to help on this one.

Re: Changes in score not showing in part: Finale 2006 -> 25
Yep -- looks like multi-measure rests are the culprits. When I "break" the rests, all the changes show up. I'll leave them "broken" until I'm ready to publish the parts.
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

Changes in score not showing in part: Finale 2006 -> 25
[Hi! I'm back -- it's been a while.] Finale 25.4.1.152 Windows I have an old score that I need to update. It was first created in Finale 2006. I opened the score in Finale 25.4.1.152, saving it to a .musx file (all in Windows). So far, so good. I did some fixups to the parts (split Trombones 1&2 int...

Re: Keyboard Keyboard
I still have one, but I don't think you can get drivers for it any more. I think I used it on Windows XP or earlier -- many years ago.
