I erased all the notes, to just send the score empty. After erasing the notes, the time signatures then appear. Weird.

I have a four-movement piece within a single finale file. How can I have the measure numbers start at 1 for each movement?

For example:

Mov. I: measures 1-55

Mov. II: 1-32 (instead of measure 56-88), etc.

Since I have lots of 2-3 group grace notes, I wonder if it might make correct notation to just make the grace notes into 16th or 32nd notes without any slashes? That way I might avoid going through every single grace note..

By default a single grace note will have a slash to it. But when I enter two or more grace notes the slash does not appear. A PC reset did the trick

Just a USB connected regular mouse. With the mouse disconnected, using the laptop track pad, it is still the same.

It worked briefly after rebooting. However after a while the issue stared again.

Note: The expression Tool also is not working. I try to use the Expression Tool and another expression happens or playback starts and there is no way to stop it unless force quitting the program.

I can´t do a slur within Finale. When selecting the Slur Tool, another tool such as the dashed slur tool, trill tool or 8va tool appears in the mouse cursor. Thanks. I don't know yet how many staves it will have after setting a percentage-resizing in the formatting process, but the piece is relatively short at 200 measures.

When composing multi-movement chamber pieces, would it be wiser to have all movements in one single file? Or for each movement to be in a separate file?
Especially regarding creating individual parts later on.
