I have resolved the issue. I twice ran the Sound Blaster software installation .exe, first running it in ‘Modify’ mode, the second time ‘Repair’ mode. Neither worked. Finally I uninstalled the software, then reinstalled. I then had to play around with the settings in the Sound Blaster control panel....

The sound card is in fact a SoundBlaster card. How would I go about disabling it and use my built in card?

No, audio is fine with all other media players, DAWs, YouTube, Spotify, etc. I only have issues with Finale playback.

I have been working with various combinations with the sample rate/bit depth in the Speaker Properties window on my computer and the Buffer Size on the Audio Setup window in Finale. Twice I was able to fix the issue but after rebooting my computer the problem returned.

The Finale sample rate was at the proper level...still having the problem.
