I can? I did not know that. How do I do that?zuill wrote:I guess I'm not seeing a problem in the posted example. Anyway, you can have the score in C# minor, but the Bb part in Eb minor if you want. Is that what you're getting at?

Re: Recalculating Accidentals
Untitled 2.png Another example. This time the transposition is done automatically, since it's a Bb Part. How is this a readable score? One thing that would help is changing the key signature from C# minor to Db minor (would make reading the accidentals easier), but guess what, Finale does not have ...

Shortcuts changing
For some reason pressing "8" does not transpose the selection down an octave any more, it now transposes it down a whole tone (just like "6" does). I did not change this shortcut. How can this happen? How can I change it back?

Re: What notation software do you use on the iPad?
I am aware that there's no finale for iPad. I just thought there might be something that plays nice with finale (by exchanging xml files without destroying the formatting or something like that). I own notion on my laptop and it's just extremely annoying, how one does have no say what so ever regard...

What notation software do you use on the iPad?
I will get an iPad soon. One thing I will use it for is editing sheet music on the go. What app do you use for this? Is there one that makes it easy to use finale on my computer and exchange files? Or is the only way to use Notion for both devices and live with the inferior typesetting?

Re: Recalculating Accidentals
Thanks. But then I have to do three things and always keep track of the intervals/key signatures. So I'm still hoping that there's another way

Re: Recalculating Accidentals
Sorry for not replying sooner. I transpose using either the "Transpose" feature or by changing the key signature. I attached 3 Files of a Lead Sheet for an exercise. It was originally in F Major I transposed it to C# Major. I got the most readable result by first transposing it down chromatically (t...

Macros for Layout Adjustments
The things like resizing / spacing / overlapping chords /overlapping articulations for scores for anything between lead sheets and mid sized Bands are fairly similar for each song, so it should be able to handle those with macros and plugins, right? Has anyone put a workflow together that takes care...

Recalculating Accidentals
Hi, I'm fairly new to finale and use it mostly to write out Jazz Lead Sheets and Horn Section Charts. Is there a way for finale to redo the accidentals in a score not by the "classically correct" rules, but in a way that makes it easily readable? If I write a horn chart and then extract/transpose th...
