OP here. Thanks for all the help. I found if I open speedy entry and just enter four quarter rests per bar I can then attach lyrics.

BTW, the only reason for putting lyrics on a slash chart is to help the musicians orient themselves if they get lost (which we do)/

I can't seem to get the chord suffixes to be in a larger size. I'm using Jazz font (have also tried Jazz Text and Jazz Cord). The chords are in Jazz font size 24 and I'm trying to get the suffixes to match. But the suffixes are tiny. I'm trying to change them using the Change Chord Suffix Fonts dial...

I am using MIDI playback. I have added chords to a score for the benefit of the musicians, but it is hard to hear the parts with the chord playing. Is there a way to turn off the chords during playback? Thanks.
