Yes, same problem with VST. So next step I tried another file and playback was OK. So apparently my file was corrupted. I copied the contents into a new file and playback was OK.

My only choices are Direct sound or WASAPI. I've tried both. Closing iTunes and Audacity and re-launching Finale didn't help.

Is it no longer possible to set different volume levels for different layers? I used to do that in v12-14, but can't find how to do it in v26.3. I have 4 voices, 2 per staff, using 2 layers and 4 different channels assigned. I want to create 4 audio files, with one voice predominant on each.

This has happened again with a new document, so it seems to be a persistent bug. But I discovered that "save as" is needless. In spite of the error, it saves properly each time with ctr-S. Just a constant annoyance I wish they would fix.

I've applied rhythmic notation to a section of a piece with no problem. But later in the same piece, where I copied and pasted a region, it displays as normal notation, and no matter how many times I try, rhythmic notation does not show even though it's selected. I got this same error on my Windows machine after editing a file someone sent me that was created on a Mac. Copying content onto a blank template did not help. Exporting to xml and importing into template did not help. No solutions?

I have play through midi selected in device setup. I know I can export to wav and convert externally to mp3, but not long ago I was always able to export as mp3.

I'm seeing .wav as the only option. I don't know what happened to mp3, it probably disappeared after a recent update. Where should I look to fix this?

In a jazz band chart I'm transcribing, there's a section of 8 bars with 1st & 2nd endings for all parts except for Tpt 2, which has a 16 measure solo written out. It's not necessary for the score to have the entire solo, so is there a way to do this? I suppose I could just write out the 16 bars for ...

I transposed a piece down a step, and Finale dutifully dropped the rests a step as well. I used to use a script for centering rests with v.2012 but can't get it to work with v25. Moving them all manually is a pain. Is there a shortcut?
