Re: Is it notation standard for the pedal on/off symbols to not follow a horizontal line?

HP respects the Smart Line pedal marking (Ped followed by *) for playback. Is that something that would help to get things lined up? Zuill This method is much better. Thanks! However, the hold effect is not present. I use the Standard setting in HP Prefs, and the MIDI data are set as follows. HP Mi...

Is it notation standard for the pedal on/off symbols to not follow a horizontal line?

I want to place pedal on/off symbols in my score with the Articulation tool. When trying to make them line up horizontally I can't find any way to do that besides manually dragging them into position, which is literally a drag. If I change the default vertical position they always adjust themselves ...

Ctrl-Z will undo the Clear MIDI data I am referring to.

You're right, don't know what happened last night. Maybe I was just tired and made something differently. :?

Re: Cutting MIDI #64 data from the first measure erases the whole score

If you're trying to only delete the MIDI data from bar one for the Sustain Pedal, go to the MIDI Tool, highlight the first measure, make sure that Continuous Data Controller 64 is selected, and click Clear in the list. Zuill Thanks! However I must say that this was not the most intuitive way to dea...

Cutting MIDI #64 data from the first measure erases the whole score

In Finale 25, if I select the data, or just a tiny portion of it, in the picture below - that is MIDI data from measure one, #64 Hold - and select "cut", the whole score goes blank except for the textboxes (title, composer, copyright etc). Notes and staff are erased, and using paste does not work si...

How do I copy and paste playback pedaling?

http://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/FinaleWin/Content/Finale/Pedal_markings.htm Once you’ve created one complete usage of the pedal, as you’ve just done, you don’t have to create it again in other measures that should contain a similar pedaling pattern. You can simply copy the pedaling from measure 1...

Re: Rolled Chords articulation design

In Finale 25 the rolled chords symbol is supposed to have #103 according to the user manual. The articulation selection box goes as far as to #63 … This is a misunderstanding. In the dialog box Articulation Selection the articulations are document specific, not program specific. If you close the Fi...

I think it's the Symbol Selection dialogue's #103 that is being referred to in the manual. However your best solution is as described above.
Thanks! They should take care of this and change it then.

Re: Rolled Chords articulation design

In the articulation tool, type Shift+R; that should show you the roll articulation. I don't know the solution to your layer question; there likely isn't one. Yes that's it! It has #31, didn't see it at first since I scrolled down just to discover that all templates stop at #62. The image I posted w...

Articulation selection.png I've learned by reading this thread that I can click the bottom note while pressing "R". But since I have different layers tha...
