Re: Scroll View: weird measure numbers

That was it. I didn't realize I had that the "defined measure numbers" checked. Thank you!

Scroll View: weird measure numbers

Does anyone know what the "1:" is for in the measure numbers in Scroll View. It just appeared one day as I was working on my score. I've never had this happen before, and I want to make sure it's not some setting I unwittingly enabled which I'll regret later. It may have started after I enlarged the...

Compatibility with Surface Pro X (ARM Processor)

Has anyone tried to run Finale with the Surface Pro X? I'm considering upgrading from the Surface Pro 6, but I'm a little concerned about compatibility since it can't run some 64-bit apps, and the ones it can run are only by emulation (according to my research). I very rarely use Finale on my Surfac...

Re: Unlink Existence of Tempo Mark in Part from Score

Thank you N Grossingink and motet for the suggestions. I think I'll probably leave it as one line and change the capitalization.

Peter Thomsen, I'm opting for the others' suggestion, but I do have another instance in which this is a problem, so I'll try that for those. Thank you!

Unlink Existence of Tempo Mark in Part from Score

I'm currently formatting my parts for a string quartet project and have run into an issue with the formatting of a tempo marking. I would like to be able to alter the "Slightly Slower" marking in the part separately from the score so that the words "Slightly" and "Slower" appear on two different lin...

Re: Custom stems with Articulations Bug

David Ward that is incredible! That must have been really wonderful gift to receive from him of all people. As for the actual technique, I'm fairly certain it is possible. Though as I'm not a violinist, I'm working with a professional player to make sure everything is doable. But if she ends up sayi...

Re: Custom stems with Articulations Bug

Anders Hedelin I think I’m gonna save that idea as a last result since I’d like to have the actual notes. But still a great idea. Thanks! miker it’s for violin. It’s a triple stop where the G and D strings play A’s while you also play the open A string. I got the idea from Berio’s Sequenza VIII for ...

Re: Custom stems with Articulations Bug

Oops. Ignore m. 52.

It’s just two eighth notes, but it’s two eighth notes in each of the three present layers. I’ll show a picture of it in Finale which shows the three different layers as well as what it’s supposed to look like.

Custom stems with Articulations Bug

I'm writing a piece that requires a tremolo mark to be placed on a custom stem. I'll place the tremolo mark on the custom stem, and it will look fine in Finale. But when I export it to PDF, the tremolo is suddenly shifted over quite far to the left. Is anyone else having this issue? Or does anyone h...
