Hi Everybody,
I have tried all the user manual procedures ("Notes And Rests Hide Plug-In", Speedy Entry, etc.) to HIDE RESTS in a series of measures, and nothing works in Mac Finale v26.
Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

That is confirmation that Finale is not structured to do what I want to do (which is probably a little unorthodox anyway).

After you apply the dynamic, right click the handle and select Edit Expression Assignment. There is a place to assign the playback affect to a particular layer. That should work. It does for me.
