Re: Finale support
MakeMusic discontinued direct phone support a few days after Finale 25 was released and has not brought it back—no doubt due to the sheer number of calls they received in the immediate aftermath. Not entirely accurate... that was a planned move. Says you. Entirely accurate says I. Not all the decis...

Re: Finale support
I just read somewhere that there is a phone number that you can call between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. MakeMusic discontinued direct phone support a few days after Finale 25 was released and has not brought it back—no doubt due to the sheer number of calls they received in the immediate aftermath. Not e...

Re: Finale blog: 27.1
Interesting. Why don't they fix some serious bugs? I am not/wasn't a developer nor was product or engineering management, so I don't particularly care to offer speculation about an answer to a very unspecific question like that. I will say this much: leveling personal insults at the MakeMusic staff...

Re: Finale blog: 27.1
Why are they still letting Jon Tschiggfrie write these blogs? Does anybody remember the absolute garbage he wrote about the introduction of the sharing features a couple of years ago? If Jon bloviates half as much as this internally when he's supposedly advocating for our needs as users, no wonder ...

Re: QuickLook in v27
The code to build the old version of Quicklook was essentially a copy of the main program's source, and had to be maintained in parallel. It's a loss to not have it, but hopefully the team can spend some time rearchitecting the plugin to put back into the product in a way that doesn't induce extra m...

Re: Finale for iOS?
Not even close to accurate. Just because iOS apps run natively on arm64 macs does not mean Finale's deep and convoluted codebase can be pushbutton ported in the opposite direction.karlkaminski wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 4:21 pmconvergence/unity of OS systems may get Finale one step closer

Re: Finale 27?
Maybe. Possibly they're in Beta testing and gearing up. Zuill This is likely due to an inadvertent screwup on the team that maintains the ecommerce site (a separate team from the application team). Usually they make those updates for future products well in advance and hide them by setting a featur...

Re: gaming the system
Having seen this transition from the inside, I can assure you that the vector that the company was on from 2012 to 2014 would have led to a far worse place for Finale than it is now.
