Re: Unwanted Longer Note Crescendo?

I appreciate your reply but some of it is a bit over my head. I tried turning off just about everything on the Human Playback Preferences Dynamic/Volume Tab. Nothing seemed to help. It is probably my ignorance about the program. I guess I will just have to live with it.

Thanks, again.

Unwanted Longer Note Crescendo?

I am finding that when I turn on Human Playback, longer notes (half notes, whole notes) seem to have a built-in crescendo that tends to get really too loud on some instruments. In my case, the Flute part. Is there a way to adjust this? Also, if I may, is there a way to apply Human Playback by indivi...

Chord Symbol Sound

This is a tough one, I think. I would like to change the Chord Symbol playback sounds to be different in the opening measures than in the rest of the piece. For example, in the first 8 measures, I have the chord symbols in a separate channel and set up for "Instant Orchestra/Orchestra Power Hits". T...

Copy an Instrument

Can you copy an instrument in the Score Manager? I'd like to copy the one instrument and then just change the sound selection. I realize I can do this by "adding" an instrument and then making the settings appropriately but I thought there might be a quicker way by just copying. Your advice would be...

Re: Articulation Paralysis.

I Googled the heck out of this issue but did not find this link which is exactly what I needed.
I feel like a jerk.
My sincerest thanks for your help. Greatly appreciated.

Embarrassed a bit,

Articulation Paralysis.

I am getting fairly proficient with Finale ( after quite a while) but I have zero formal music training. It is all "play and write by ear". So without any formal musical background, some stuff really paralyzes me so to speak. The latest example is "Articulation". I know many of the basic symbols and...

Re: Play different notes on layer 1 and layer 2

I truly appreciate your advice but it didn't work. I guess Finale just has playback "issues". I'll just live with it. Not much else I can do. They really should address this sometime. :(

Play different notes on layer 1 and layer 2

I am going nuts with this. I have a couple of measures where the notes are slightly different on Layer 1 vs. Layer 2 for each of two passes. The attached file shows what I mean. Capture.PNG How can I set this up so that the separate parts are played on their respective layers with each pass? The bla...
