Re: Crooked/Uneven Ties
Thanks for the suggestion! I tried removing the tie and reinserting it (pressing "T" twice) but the tie still comes back crooked. Such a weird problem!

Re: Crooked/Uneven Ties
In the place where you tried clicking "remove manual adjustments" there is also "Edit" where you can "Reset" which would take all the tie settings to default. Does that do anything? ::: Bill I can't express how much I appreciate your help. You've solved the problem! I clicked on the "edit" option a...

Re: Crooked/Uneven Ties
This is a long shot, but go to Special Tools > Tie Tool, select the tie and click any handle and click clear. If the shape of the tie has somehow gone wonky then this will restore it to default. ::: Bill Thank you for the suggestion, Bill! I tried clicking "remove manual adjustments" with the Tie T...

partridgefamily, In your screen shot of the dialog box Tie Contour, in the pop up menu Style, the menu item Medium is chosen. What are the Style settings for Short? I suspect that the ties in your example are Short ties. Hello, Peter! Thanks very much for your help. The screenshot of my Short Ties ...

Thanks for the suggestion! I checked carefully, and it seems that all of these are ties; slurs actually end up looking a little better but are too far from the notes!Ian Stewart wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 10:44 amI may well be wrong but in the upper voice the tied D >D and tied A > A look like slurs to me, not ties.

Crooked/Uneven Ties
Hi, everyone! I can't seem to find a way to fix the following problem of crooked ties in Finale. I made sure my music font has a font annotation file. Please see the screenshots below of the score with uneven ties, my current ties dialog box, and the tie contour dialog box. I'd really appreciate any...

How to Get EXACT Measurements for Line Thickness with System Scaling
Hi, everyone! I’m trying to copy the look of this engraving from OCP: https://dh8zy5a1i9xe5.cloudfront.net/shared/pdf/preview/22546z4.pdf I’ve begun by scaling down the system percentage size in Finale to match the height of OCP’s staves (and by height, I mean the measurement from the top line to th...
