This is fantastic information! Thank you so much. And "Leftmost bar" definitely delivers the microscope I was looking for. Hopefully, Finale will one day offer a more modern selective playback option. I'm sure it was a time saver in the past, but it was frustrating today.

I'm using NotePerformer for Finale playback. It's lovely (no issues) when playing back using the "Play" button from the top of the score, but when I attempt the "spacebar click" playback mid-score NotePerformer ignores slurs and dynamic markings.
