Re: Delete All Page Breaks
If it is loaded in RGPLua, I'm not sure why you wouldn't see it. It should be in your Lua Scripts or similar menu.

Re: Delete All Page Breaks
I use a simple .lua script that can be found on the same site as Perfect Layout to remove page breaks (generally after PL inserts them) and it works flawlessly and quickly: remove page breaks

Re: Auto save
I have Autosave on but it's not been useful to me (plus I save every time I enter stuff into Finale or make an edit). The problem with Autosave is that it creates a file that may have edits you don't want; a better approach would be to have a system to save the original state of the file when first ...

TBH, I've yet to see one pop up. Maybe it's my ad blockers doing a good job.

Re: MakeMusic at the NAMM trade show
Glad Finale is flawless or nearly so for you! It must be hard for you to read the many comments here by people looking for help whenever Finale doesn’t work for them. As you have pointed out many times, it’s likely their own fault and/or a consequence of their lack of knowledge, not the software. An...

Re: MakeMusic at the NAMM trade show
Respectfully, I think you're missing the point. It doesn't work perfectly for everyone (and you may indeed be an n of 1 here). And what about enhancements, new features, etc? Finale seems to have stagnated. It works, but that's hardly a great statement. The user base seems to be dwindling, there is ...

Re: MakeMusic at the NAMM trade show
It also occurred to me that we have not seen anything regarding Finale 28. Nor have I been part of any beta testing for a long time. This is not a good prognostic sign, folks.

Re: MakeMusic at the NAMM trade show
I just read this and honestly, it depressed the hell out of me. And also annoyed me. Here's the comment I just posted: "As a multi-decade Finale user, this is perhaps one of the most depressing things I've read about Finale in a long while. It doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling that Finale wil...

Re: JW Change Pitches
FWIW, while I have had JW Change Pitches working by using Rosetta (and giving it permission to run in System Settings), I've given feedback to MM that they should add it to the "official" bundled JW plugins moving forward, and the developer who responded was of the same mind as he uses it too. I fin...

odd changes to expression playback for older docs
I've noticed in several documents created in F26 and now opened in F27.4, expression playback settings are all messed up. For example, dynamics are mapped to Tempo: Screen Shot 2024-01-03 at 4.46.35 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2024-01-03 at 4.46.39 PM.jpg Same thing with technique text like con sord, etc. No...

Re: pizz
Absolutely. Make sure you select the Aria player (or Noteperformer or any other playback engine) in ScoreManager, then in the player, select the cello (I used the cello-KS section from GPO5 but it will work with the included Garritan sounds in the ARIA player just the same). Make sure Human Playback...

Re: Split-measure plug-in when pickup measure is present
I wonder whether if whoever wrote these plug-ins ever revisits them just to make sure they are still working correctly or if they do need updating. Again with the oblivious limited beta testing done by MM this too was probably missed. I already reported a bug with the updated JW Rhythm Copy to MM; ...

Re: Possible insert copied notes bug in 27.4???
Your file is different from the top picture. Can you upload the version you're having trouble with? I removed most everything else to demonstrate the point (it was happening in that test file as well) since this forum won't accept the complete file ("too large.") And yes, I tried compressing it. Bu...

Possible insert copied notes bug in 27.4???
This one is baffling me, since it only seems to happen with partial measures selected to copy and insert in a new score I'm working on. I've tried to see if it was something I did to screw it up, like adding an extra rest, etc, but it isn't. I'm attaching some images (the maximum allowed file size f...

Re: Anyone know if the display of tuplet and note value in Speedy Entry can use a larger font?
Hi Mike. Thanks but not the tuplet font, but the small number at the lower left (for note value in Speedy Entry) and the small number in the upper right (for tuplet value). Just would make it easier to read.

Anyone know if the display of tuplet and note value in Speedy Entry can use a larger font?
It would be great if, having invoked Caps Lock and the Option key (on a Mac) to enter tuplets and set the values (16th in this case), the fonts were larger given I'm using a 25" monitor. Any way to do this?

Re: Finale 27.4 is here
It also seems to have fixed the odd bug I had where the first page of a score, if a SMuFL font was used, was blank until I zoomed in. That's good! Well, I guess I spoke too soon. I opened a score of a new work in progress and first got the disappearing notes bug until I either hit Play or zoomed in...
