Re: Flip the stem of 1 note beamed to another
Well, the cross-staff plug-in did work! But it only worked on moving a note from the bass clef to the treble clef in Layer 2 but NOT later in the piece with Layer 3. Very strange.

Re: Flip the stem of 1 note beamed to another
Nope. Won't do it. I even tried shutting the program down and starting back up - still will not draw a box around the note. If I start at the top, it'll select a portion of the measure and then Alt+Down Arrow just moves that whole measure down to the next system. My program must be corrupt...??

Re: Flip the stem of 1 note beamed to another
Nope. Tried maybe 25 times. The Selection Tool will not let me draw any kind of box around that one note. Now, if I click once on the note, it's kind of selected but hitting alt+down arrow does nothing. Very weird!

Re: Flip the stem of 1 note beamed to another
The selection took won't let me draw a box around the note. It only will select part of the measure. I did make sure I was in the correct layer (layer 2). Forgot to mention that I'm working in Windows.

Flip the stem of 1 note beamed to another
Hi All, I have 2 eighth notes beamed together - the first is on the bass clef and the other is on the treble clef (split between the 2 clefs). How do I get the note in the bass clef to have it's stem up while keeping the note in the treble clef stem down? I see this in printed music quite often but ...

A Repeat Within a Repeated Section
Hi All, I am inputting a piece that has a 2 measure section that repeats and it is itself in a larger section that also repeats. What happens is that the 2 measure repeated section repeats just fine the first time around but when the whole section repeats, this 2 measure section only plays once. I k...

Rolled Chords
Hi All,
How do I change the speed of a rolled chord? I have the top value set at 0 and the bottom value set at -256 but this rolls the chord too fast. In this case its a final chord of a piece and I want the rolled chord (on a harpsichord) to roll slower. How do I do that? Thanks!

Re: Baroque Trumpet Soundfonts
Thanks. All of this brings me full circle to one of my original questions: Is there - somewhere "out there" - a Baroque trumpet soundfont I can use in Finale?

Re: Baroque Trumpet Soundfonts
I really liked the 2nd one. How did you get that sound? I'm assuming not in Finale.

Re: Baroque Trumpet Soundfonts
I'm not actually seeing "Antique Trumpet" - what I see is in the drop-down menu under Instruments (in ScoreManager), one of the choices is "Antique". Within that are many old instruments including Baroque Trumpet. But - as I said - when you choose that, what show up under Sound (at the far right sid...

Re: Baroque Trumpet Soundfonts
Well, that brings me back to square one - so-to-speak. Looking for Baroque soundfonts that I can use in Finale. Surely SOMEBODY has made some. I know I'm not the only one who could use them. Also - why does Garritan list "Antique" under the Instrument drop-down? Is this something that used to work a...

Re: Baroque Trumpet Soundfonts
Yes - I see that now! I think I'll get that. One question (hopefully my last one!): How do I use the file I get from them in Finale?

Re: Baroque Trumpet Soundfonts
Thanks but at 429 Euros ($463.00) that's a little outside my budget. I'm still wondering: 1) If there's something a little cheaper out there, and 2) What are the Antique instruments I see under the Instrument drop-down in Score Manager? They're there but not available somehow....? It doesn't make an...

Baroque Trumpet Soundfonts
Hello All - I am interested in using sounds of Baroque instruments - particularly the Baroque trumpet. I notice when I go into the Score Manager and click on the drop-down menu for Instruments, one of the choices is "Antique" but the program doesn't see able to incorporate those sounds into playback...

Re: Baroque Trumpet sounds
Thanks for the advice. Strange that in all the time that Finale has existed, there are no Baroque trumpet sounds available.

Baroque Trumpet sounds
How do I get Baroque Trumpet sounds in Garritan and have them usable in Finale? Or does Garritan even have such sounds? If not, are they available some other way?
