Open the frame attributes. In the bottom there is a possibility to check "use position for right pages" ... (I have a German version, hope my translation is correct... You will find it...)

You can also uncheck "control beams" in the speedy entry menu. Entering music will give you single notes without beams. And you can ad beams with "/"

Re: notation of two notes vertically in mode 'fast input'
It sounds as if you "insert" notes. I do not know how that is done on a MAC, on my PC I would have to press the "insert key". You shold have a look at the speedy entry menu, see if "insert notes and rests" is checked there. If yes, uncheck it. Insert.jpg I hope I could explain what I mean, I have a ...

Re: Outgoing Key Signature Question
Even dumber, here's B minor to D major. 0315.png A minor to C major or vice-versa results in a double bar. 0316.png I too always use major. Were it not for this behavior, specifying minor can be useful for resolving enharmonic spelling with MIDI input, which can be different depending on mode. Fina...

Re: Beaming over a rest in tuplets
I did that by entering the triplet as you did.
"Beams over rests" is checked. And I get this: With /-key on the eight note, I get this: and this is what you wanted, right?

Re: 2 different page formats for linked parts: possible?
This is possible in one file...
When you are on one part go to the page layout tool, menu - page size... There you can change the size of one page, one part, some parts, all parts or all parts and score.
I hope this is what you need...

Re: rebeaming in a composite time signature
I'm not sure you need to accent notes in such meters. Bartok was exploring Hungarian and other eastern European folk music, where such composite time signatures are common. Once you get use to it you just sort of feel it instinctively. If you're old enough, remember how "Take Five" was considered u...

Re: rebeaming in a composite time signature
You do not have to ask Bartok...
3+3+2/8 is NOT the same as 4/4 as you can see on the beaming and as you could hear on the accents.

Re: Alternating Time Signatures in Finale - Is it Possible?
Do you need to show the time signature (C 3/4) only in the beginning of the section or every second measure? If you need it only at the beginning you could enter 1 measure as C, the second measure as C but shown as 3/4 and the third measure as 3/4 with hidden key signature. Use a staff system stile ...

Re: Speedy CapsLock tuplet entry Undo
Motet, I think the problem is that you "kill" a triplet when you use an arrow key on your computer keyboard. That's why things get messed up when you do it with the second or third note. So: when you go back to a note by an arrow, you will have to do this whole triplet again. I hope you understand w...

For me this sounds as if there are too many notes in a bar before these 3 bars... Can you check that?
