frozen cursor
Hi!. I have just learnt how to use the Pause button in Finale 14 Windows without restarting from the beginning. Quite happy!. But now I would like to have a sort of a mark at the place where I have paused. For example, the green cursor triangle that runs on the notes during playback could stay froze...

Re: MIDI driver FINMIDI "not found"
I could solve the problem by restoring Windows XP to a previous point. I think there was a Windows Register problem. It is solved now, thank you any way.

MIDI driver FINMIDI "not found"
Hi! After several years of faithful service, my Finale 2007 now has problems with the MIDI driver: When I start Finale, I get an error window: Error loading MIDI drive FINMIDI: file cannot be found" I have checked the Finale File on my C: and the driver is there (i.e I have one FINMIDI (text) and on...

Re: Change tempo drastically in middle of piece
Thank you. It worked. But I still have a problem: the change to Presto tempo is not at the beginning of measure 10 but on the second beat of it (it's a 4x4). Looks like the Tempo tool only allows to set it at the beginning of a measure. Any way to make the change exactly when needed?

Change tempo drastically in middle of piece
Hi!
This could be easy, but I cannot find how to do it.
I have a piece that playbacks as Andante and in measure 10 it is noted as Presto. Players do this second part at a much higher tempo. But how do I instruct Finale 2007 to increase the tempo only for this part?

I cannot make the Anacrusis wrk as I want to
Hi! I use Finale 2007. I want an Anacrusis of 1/8 as the start measure of a 4/4 piece. I can do it in the normal way (as a pick up measure), but I do not want to wait for the invisible rests Finale puts in front of my single 1/8. If I use the measure tool, to define the first measure as 1/8 (and dis...

Re: Changing A=440 to A=442
To raise the tuning from "A = 440 Hz" to "A = 442 Hz", set the Pitchwheel value to 54. Thank you Peter. I understand that: - with pitch wheel at "0" The system pitch is A=440 - pitch wheel at 54 raises the pitch 2 Hz, so I can use this proportion for any other pitch desired: 0.03 Hz/wheel unit. - b...

Hi!
How do I change the tuning of a Finale project, for example from A=440 into A=442 (or any other value?)

Sorry to bring back such an old thread, but maybe you can help me: I need the opposite, that is, to develop the figures in a figured bass clef score into the corresponding notes on the treble clef. Is there any way of doing this more or less automatically (I make too many errors and it is very time ...

How to print system numbers?
Hi!
I want systems numbers in my score, Finale 2007.
I can see the numbers (in page view) but only with the page layout button pressed. How do I get those numbers permanent and printable? Is there a way to position them farther from the page left edge?
Thank you

Rubato
I cannot find a way to apply rubato to a Finale 07 file. Is there an easy way (or any way at all) to get rubato in Finale? I have been told this effect must be done using catwalk or other SW, but I cannot believe it... Also, I would like to see the rubato marks (if present) in music from other peopl...

Finale 2007 takes all my CPU
I am using Finale 2007 on a PC with WIN2K, running on a P IV 1800MHz and 512M RAM. When Finale is running alone (no other applications running) and idle (doing nothing) it takes about 30% of the CPU. When in Playback, it immediately takes 100% CPU power and the playing is a little erratic and fast p...

For question 1, I do not think there is any way to have different type of instruments on the same staff. Although you can have multiple voices esasily, the staff is declared as "instrument x" and everything there will sound as instrument x. The obvious solution is to write different instruments on d...
