Repositioning all systems in orchestra score

This should be EASY! Just can't find the answer, though I used to know how to do it in older version. I'm using 2009. I have an orchestra score with one system per page. I would like to reposition all of those (in this case, higher on the page), but dragging a system only moves one. I tried using se...

Thank you very much. This explains why I couldn't find the answer in the docs--there isn't one, and a workaround is needed.

That's fine with me. I just need some way to do it and you guys saved me.

Thanks for this. What I would still like to do is place the various text in the same position on all the parts. For example, the name of the composer. I have it where I want it on the score, but it needs to be adjusted manually on every part. Is there a way to adjust it on one part so that it appear...

Default part page layout

Since I have to produce parts for a full orchestra, it would be a major benefit if I could learn the fine points of adjusting the layout of some sort of "master part" rather than adjust each and every part manually, which is what I've done in the past. Specifically, placement of the title, instrumen...

Clarification on my last question. I think what I really mean is I'm wondering if there is a way to notate what Finale plays back for the chord symbols. I had presumed that this is a function of Band/Box, but it may not be.

Now that I've gotten this far, is there a way for the Band/Box data to display the notation for what it's doing? That is, can it perhaps add staves and notate its harmonization (not just the actual harmonization plug-in).

Thanks,
JS

:D Thanks, so very much. Your answers not only made it clear to me, it let me to the place in the documentation that gives the details.

Finale has made real advances in the documentation, but I still find it hard to get to the help that I really need.

Thanks again.

Where are these notes coming from? Invisible orchestra?

Just tried the Band-In-A-Box harmonization plug it. At first it appeard to do the expected (according to the manual): added notes on selected staves as harmony. Not too bad a job at that. Tried the "super brass" to see what would result. Got a decent set of harmony notes and all, but the notes were ...

Thanks, that worked. As is often the case, the settings are not exactly intuitive are required some experimentation.

You're answer will save me lots of time.

Thanks. Obviously that works, but I had not found the trick despite looking.

It's a problem with all "deep" software, finding the answers to such questions. There is so much detail in the documentation that it's hard to see the forest for the trees.

Exploding 3-note chords

Have a score with 3-note chords in a single layer (Finale 2009). What I would like is to take 2 of those notes (probably the bottom ones) and move theme to the staff below. I understand that I could extract the chord to three new staves and then manually distribute them back to the desired staves, b...

Stems up/down in percussion staff

I would like to have a percussion staff with two parts (snare and bass drum) with one part stems up and the other stems down. The usual way, I suppose, would be to use layers, but that technique seems to always revert to "normal" stem placement when only one part has notes. That is, when both parts ...
