Re: Lyrics tool: Melisma lines question
Should also note that I tried playing with the Word Extensions to see if I could physically drag it where I wanted but it didn't really work. I'm using Finale 2015 on Windows 10.

Lyrics tool: Melisma lines question
I have a question about melisma lines with the Lyrics tool. I have a a few instances in a chart of mine where the melisma starts on the last note of a line and carries over to the next measure of the next line of music. But sometimes Finale doesn't draw it right, where the __ line of the melisma doe...

Lyrics - moving individual hyphens
Hi all, In the Lyrics Tool is there a way to move the position of individual hyphens? My situation is that I have a hyphenated word at the end of a DS al Coda marking, where the hyphenated word completes back at the DS. And since there's a double bar right there and the Coda begins with a different ...

Re: 12/8 Rests
I'll try it. I have about 3 pages of them to change so manually doing it is gonna take a little time. I wish it would have come in correctly from the import, but sometimes we can't be so lucky.

Re: 12/8 Rests
I will have to post the file tonight when I get home. I tried all of your suggestions with the time sig set correctly, rebar music etc. Still leaves me with quarter and eighth rests.

Re: changing chord suffix superscript to standard
actually I should have been a tad clearer. Not sure if I'm referring to the suffix. I actually need to lower the flat symbol to the standard font position. In the jazz font the flat sign in a B-flat chord symbol looks like a superscript. In the standard Maestro font, the flat symbol is the same leve...

12/8 Rests
Hello, I just imported an XML file of a different leadsheet into a default Finale template. It's in 12/8 time and I have the time signature set correction to be in dotted quarters. But I want the rests to be in dotted quarters also instead of quarter and eighth rests. Is there a way I can change thi...

Re: best way to convert fonts in existing file
Finale support told me to export the file with the jazz fonts as Music XML then import it into a new default template. That kinda worked and kinda didn't - there were still a few elements like expressions and repeats that stayed in the jazz font. I'd like to set up a good default template that has a...

Re: best way to convert fonts in existing file
Any way to turn off the chord suffix superscript? Apparently in the jazz template, chords have a superscript, but in the standard default template they do not. And it doesn't work just to copy it over from one template to the next.

Re: best way to convert fonts in existing file
Forgot to ask, what's the default font for guitar Tabs, and how would I convert those? I have some of those to deal with in my jazz lead sheet files.

best way to convert fonts in existing file
Hi all, What is the best way to convert all the fonts in an existing Finale file? I have a few lead sheets currently in the Jazz font, and I'd like to convert them to the standard default fonts (for everything; notes, text, chords, etc) without too much headache. :) Is there a good way to do that or...

Speedy question
Pardon if this is an old question (I'm new here..)
I'm using Fin05, when I want to use speedy, my keystrokes enter rests by default instead of notes. How can I change this?
