It would be best if you would post the document where this happens.

You will need to ZIP the file, before posting it here.

Right-click on the number, and from the drop-down box, uncheck "Show."
To hide them all, make the changes in the tuplet definition box.

The same in PM. For a quick listen, you can hold down shift and spacebar, and click in the desired staff.

I don't think so. However, here is a site where you can print free paper in lots of configurations.

Are you sure you're using a legitimate copy of the full Finale, and not one of the child products?

There should be lot more templates than those you list.

In any case, as Peter says, you can set up your piano doc from the Wizard, and save it as a template.

Yes. You can select the harp staff for an independent key signature in the staff attributes window.

Fred, can you post a picture of what you are trying to do? I haven't seen this before. Then I'm sure we can figure out a way to do it!

I THINK (but I won't swear to it) that you can save your metatools in a library, and load it into the new document.

Or, save your document as a template.

It's not a simple problem, it's a stupid setup on Finale's part. (IMO)

Copy the swing expression to the Miscellaneous category of expressions. Now, you can apply it to all the staves, and hide it on the ones where you don't want it to show.

You asked for any answer. I gave you one with a suggestion of where to find a better answer.

It's not a common problem; at least, I don't recall seeing it before. Tech support would know better if it occurs on other peoples' systems, and what might be causing it.

To your first point: In Document Options>Music Spacing, make sure that Manual Positioning is set to "Incorporate." To your second point: No. They do not. They don't even take suggestions from the official forum, at http://www.finaleforum.com/forums/ . If you want suggestions to be considered, submit...

True, Peter.
But IIRC from past experiments, this doesn't give you correct playback. The tuning for the TAB has to be changed, as well, and PM doesn't allow this.

When you save the setting to the default document, are you saving that doc AS THE DEFAULT DOCUMENT? You need to do this, for the setting to be a default. Also, there are two default documents. You have to change them both.

You might want to contact tech support, to see if they can help you.

ncg,
It certainly should set up that way. In the Simple (or Speedy) menus, make sure that Playback Note On Entry is selected.

Please add the program you're using to your signature, on the Profile page.
