Thanks -- I get it now. "Attach to Noteheads" doesn't concern slurs -- I see glissando, guitar slide, activate it. Not obvious.

Thanks for getting back, zuill. Can you tell me the conditions under which Smart Shape > Attach to Noteheads is active (ungray)?

Is there a way to select all slurs in a doc and switch all that are possible to switch to noteheads? I see the Smartshape option "Attach to noteheads" but this seems to refer to future slurs, not already-existing ones. And in any case, it is grayed out and I don't know what it wants to ungray itself.

If this question has been addressed, please forgive -- I can't find it. I (think I) understand Key Signature Tool, Transpose Utility, and Score Manager Transposition. I want to change notation and playback pitch to a piece that has several sections in different keys. I can't find any way to do this....

Strange, I turned off Auto update a couple weeks ago, on advice (from motet?) that doing so would shorten long wait-time for Finale loading, and it seems to have accomplished that. Finale has some curious behaviors, and seemingly random resolutions.

In my case just now, everything disappeared when I clicked anything anywhere, on any page, score or parts. Moving to a new part restored it. I tried different tools -- everything disappeared, except in some cases there would be traces of the tool, like handles for the Measure tool. Playing the music...

One more symptom I forgot to mention -- after I use Finale and close it, the next opening tends to be very fast, even like 3 seconds. It seems that the longer the interval that I use the computer for other stuff, then the longer the next Finale load will take.
