Choose to display the active layer only, then be in that layer, then delete everything in that layer. Jari has a plugin to simplify this if needed.

Re: slash 6 figured bass
Since the font doesn't have the character you want, I guess you'll have to add the slash manually with an articulation or a smart shape. An articulation would probably be the better of the 2. If you could find another font that has the symbol you needed, you might try that. But it might not work as ...

Time to file a Feature Request. I see that the official forum has a frenzy of those.

Re: Cue notes with numbers and double clefs
Unfortunately, Finale doesn't work that way. There is a special structure to the way those are set up. When moving it to the Misc. category, it removes the sequencing functionality. Duplicating the Rehearsal Marks Category, and then setting it up for measure numbers there is the only option. If you ...

Re: Cue notes with numbers and double clefs
The Rehearsal Marks Category works fine if we are not talking about a linked part. That category is designed to use a Score List, and that might not work well if you need other marks that apply to all the parts. The workaround would be to duplicate the category and then create a new Score List for j...

Re: Cue notes with numbers and double clefs
The only way I know of for the second one is a hidden rest before the first note. You then place the clef between he rest and the first note.

You ought to report this then, as it is not working properly. It is probably a Mac only bug, but that should be fixed.

Re: Change I didn't notice? turning pages in a score
I can confirm there is a change as well. I wonder if this has ever been reported to MM. Maybe that should be done. Since I have a different work flow (I like the side by side pages, and I drag left and right as I go), this has not even been noticed by me.

Re: Remove HP hidden notes?
HP does use Voice 2 in Layer 1, so that seems to be from the HP Tool. Maybe we need to see a small sample file for us to experiment with. Zuill P.S.: I just ran another test and the HP Tool removed the Voice 2 notes as expected. So, there is something else up in your file, or there is a difference i...

Looseleaf Style Column does something like that. It is more like a continuous scroll downward.

Re: Remove HP hidden notes?
Hidden notes for playback cam be there from the HP plugin or from TGTools Smart Playback. TGTools uses Layer 4. HP uses Voice 2. Make sure which method was used for the hidden notes. TGTools has its own method for removing them.
The HP tool removes the playback notes it created in my program.

In Book Style Row, it works like Motet said. In Book Style Column, it works like you said.

How the buttons operate depends on the page view style one chooses. Try different styles to see what I mean.

I don't have that particular item in the Win version. What other options are there in the Mac version that might work? In Win, there is an item called "Extra HP Items".

Re: Registering
Thanks zuill! I do appreciate the suggestion. I did a key word search through the forum and found a couple of other reports of the same problem. One of the suggestions was to find an automatically generated backup file, a .bak file and then try to open that. I did find an appropriate .bak file and ...

Re: Registering
When Finale runs, it saves tmp files as you are working. When you close Finale, those tmp files should be deleted. Unfortunately, as with other programs as well, Finale leaves some of these behind. Over time, many of these remain in your user Temp folder, as well as tmp files from many other program...

Re: Pick Show Active Layer Only, and Spacing Is Ruined
It must be either a Macintosh or a F25 bug, because it doesn't happen for me. There are slight differences from respacing as I say (e.g. m. 2, left hand), but mm. 5, 7, and 8 aren't affected at all! This "feature" is new to v25. When they developed the new 64bit version, some programming bugs got i...

Re: general forum question
Did you try the forward button to go to the page you left? I have buttons on my mouse for both directions. Maybe Windows works differently. Maybe you need to exchange the left and right page settings in the Frame Attributes. Swap them from what would be the normal, if I am understanding the problem.

Re: Updating staff layout on subsequent pages
If it's a simple matter of respacing staves, that's different than page layout. For this, it would be to use the Staff Tool. On the page where the spacing is as you want it, check to see if the spacing is even. If so, notice the spacing amount. Click on the staff handle and it tells the distance fro...

Re: Updating staff layout on subsequent pages
I was hard to tell much from the picture, so I was thinking the systems were compressed on the next page. if it is staff spacing, then the approach would be different. I suppose we should see a file, rather than guess.

Re: Updating staff layout on subsequent pages
Are we talking about after the fact, or to determine how new pages will be created? If the former, it might be that the system size is different. If so, in the resize tool, right click on the first system, and then choose to apply from that system to the last (through end of piece is the option) Zuill

Re: Maestro fonts (Wide & Regular)
In my last post in another thread, I reported that MM claimed it started with Windows 7 and that they fixed it in a Finale 2011 update.
So, you can see that it is also with Windows 10 and long past finale 2011.
