I am on Windows 10. I see nothing that says 8 basso.

I don't have perfect pitch so I don't know if it's playing flat, but seems OK. With regard to your other problem, I changed one of your notes to a low F# and that played, too.

On the MIDI/Audio menu, Device Setup, MIDI Thru, set it to "Smart."

It's unlikely that your computer is underpowered.

If you create your file with the set-up wizard, it will set up a B-flat trumpet staff correctly. If you want to display it in concert pitch, on the Document menu check Display in Concert Pitch. This doesn't answer the question of why you're not hearing the F#, though.

Each voice doesn't have to have a different verse! The verses are for when you have repeats with different texts printed one above the other.

You must have moved those arrows around to create the situation you're in. Mike, is there some way to reset all the lyric baselines to defaults?

It certainly doesn't make sense to copy between the two different flavors. Other than that, what did you find?
