Re: Can no longer see the .bundle JW plugins in Finale ...

Is the JW Plugins folder that you have created a subfolder of the Plug-ins folder ? It should be. Do you see that subfolder in the plugins menu ?
Don't forget to relaunch Finale after you move things.

Re: Can no longer see the .bundle JW plugins in Finale ...

The plug-ins should be in the "Macintosh Library" (your hard disk), not your user account library. The first 2 images show the correct path in this logic. So, make sure that the plug-ins are in that location. Question : do you have a M1 or M2 Mac ? (please add that information to your profile). If y...

Re: JW Rhythm Copy / Paste not working

JW Pattern Copy is the plug-in you are referring to.
I think it is still available on Jari Williamsson's website. http://www.finaletips.nu/index.php/download
P.S.: if you have a Mac with a M1, M2 processor, the plug-on will only work if you launch Finale 27 in Rosetta mode.

Re: JW Rhythm Copy / Paste not working

That's not the way the plug-in works. The source and destination should have the same number of notes (with different rhythms). The destination can't be a whole note.

1) In the Staff Attributes of all staves , Ending and Text Repeats should be selected under items to display. 2) In the score, click on the top handle and select Edit Ending . Re: Can we write text on top of a placed image?

Great tip, thanks, Wess.
P.S.: another solution is to create an Expression/Shape, import an image, type text and drag it over the image.
Then select both elements and group them.

Did you define the page range 3 through 0 ? And I assume that the page numbers have been created via the text menu- inserts - page number ?

Re: Blank pages

The Page Number (created with Text Inserts) should cover a page range starting on page 3 via Edit Frame Attributes (3 through 0).
Page offset should be -2.

If you have a combination of beamed groups and unbeamed notes, you can break or group beams manually : apply the / key (Speedy) on the note on the right.

Re: staff disappeared

You probably used "Hide Empty Staves". You can make it reappear : Staff tool : select the top handle, Staff menu -> Show Empty Staves.
Don't apply Hide Empty Staves before all the active staves have been completed.

On the Mac, you could use Keyboard Maestro. Scripts are a menu item, which can be associated to a hot key.

Re: JW Change Pitches

JW Change Pitches (the 64 bit version) should work if you launch Finale in Rosetta mode on the Mac. If you get the message "Unidentified developer", check this video by Nick Mazuk : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq3Xcpsewhk An alternative exists in the "full" version of TGTools -> Modify -> Replac...

The full TGTools (paid version) -> Parts -> "Add Cue notes" places the Cue texts in a new expression category, named "Cues". The texts are 15 by default, but you can change the font size of that category (via Edit Category). If you have RGP Lua installed, there is a script "Cue Notes Create" that pl...

JW Copy Part Layout (Mac & Windows) exists in 32 bit version (Finale 2010-2014.5) and 64 bit version (Finale 25 and above).
In Finale 27, Makemusic included it in the plug-in menu under JW Tools (compatible with Macs with the new M1, M2 processors).

Re: Chord symbols on repeats

It is not a real second line like the one used in Lyrics (verse 1,2, etc...). It is more like "piling up" chords on the same spot. My suggestion was to create the second set of chords in another measure and drag them on top of the existing chords in the original measure. But there is even a simpler ...
