I know how to delete a page break, but it's not working in the attached at system 4. In Page Layout, I select that system, pull down the Page Layout menu, and where I would normally just click on "Delete Page Break", I can't because it is greyed out. Use a hard hyphen instead of a real hyphen. The hard hyphen doesn't look exactly like a real hyphen so you might need to select it and reduce the font size.

Alas, no. Somewhere along the line I read that MakeMusic was working on it, but that was months ago. I suppose upgrading to Finale 27 might be the only way. I was avoiding doing that, but maybe I need to now.

Yes, it has to be a Finale issue. Times and Times New Roman work just fine in every other application I use them in, and this problem is *not* specific to just one file of mine, as someone in the thread suggested: it's in every Finale file I open, new or old.

Your tuplets are five sixteenths in the space of 2 sixteenths is the problem. If I let Finale pad the measure with rests, this is what I see, which is likely the reason for the space.
