Thanks, Zuill, for breaking down this bug.
I have uploaded a new video that demonstrates your description to MM.

Re: Problems with the Retranscribe function
Thanks, Zuill. Indeed if I do Retranscribe a second time on the messed up measure, it looks fine again.
The problem is: there are lots of measures that are messed up in the score.
So the JW Lua script seems to be the more elegant solution.

Problems with the Retranscribe function
Is it a bug or a feature that Finale seems to handle the Retranscribe function differently when applied to multiple measures compared to single measures? Here is a very short screencam video of what I did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kyX9Un95sI When I select the full piece and apply Retranscrib...

Re: Two Live Videos for Improving Your Finale Workflow
Yes, motet, I would be very interested to see fast how the MIDI input goes. Under "possible optimizations" I already wrote on the Estrella page that MIDI input might be faster in this case. But as I only rarely use it, it would probably have taken me longer to set it up than to make this video ;-) I...

With the v0.49 release from last week, it seems pretty stable in v25.

Re: Batch center notes in measure
Doesn't JW Change only work with fixed values and not with real note centering in a measure? I think it only can add absolute values to a note, but not apply a "center" command. I would recommend the "Center Whole Notes" JW Lua script from Chris which is available here: http://finale-logiciel-aide-g...

Re: JW Plugins Issue in Finale 25
You can try to contact Jari via his JW Plugins Facebook group ( https://www.facebook.com/jwpluginsforfinale ). In the description it says it is the official "discussion and announcement channel". His (old) swipnet email address is also working. There is a current thread on Jari's JW Lua mailing abou...

Re: "Perfect Layout" plugin Windows beta starts soon
You can read about more about the PDK on the last post on the old MakeMusic forum: http://forum.makemusic.com/default.aspx?f=11&m=487815 Here is a bit more: - MM doesn't give out the PDK anymore, because they expect much more to do for their support team. Not because the developer needs help (they c...

Re: "Perfect Layout" plugin Windows beta starts soon
Jari, Tobias and Robert get the original PDK. They are the only developers that are still supported by MM.
Otherwise they couldn't have built the 64bit version of their plugins.

Re: Musical Symbols in Text Tool
You could also try the unicode fonts that include both text and (many) musical symbols.
Here is a list of text fonts with musical symbols, look for "unicode".
But they don't include Maestro, Opus and Bravura.

Re: Musical Symbols in Text Tool
But does that work in other programs ? If I combine text and a Maestro sharp in OpenOffice, the line spacing is also messed up. It's because of the different ascent/descent values in the fonts. If you apply "Text->Line Spacing" to the text block and/or "Text->Baseline Shift" to selected parts that n...

Re: "Perfect Layout" plugin Windows beta starts soon
Well, there maybe an update of JW Lua at any time - who knows? The last JW Lua update is from December 2015 and the last personal (off-list) email Jari replied to me on JW Lua topics is from 2014. So I am not expecting much anymore. If an update is released - fine, if not, we'll have to live with th...

Re: "Perfect Layout" plugin Windows beta starts soon
Yes, but it will take a bit longer as it needs a different font handling which I haven't tested yet.
For the main fonts like Maestro, Engraver, etc. this is no big deal, but for support of all the other (unicode) music fonts as on Windows, it will require some additional testing.

Re: Is the 32.767 active frames limit solved in Finale 64bit
If you open a huge file in Fin25, you can still see the limit:
when going past 32768 items, it becomes a negative number in the file statistics.

Re: 21 new music fonts for Finale
Today I updated the Elbsound Music Font Package to v1.1. Apart from a few minor fixes, it now includes 25 fonts (new: Musica, Symbola, Gonville and Noto Sans Symbols) and 16 new composite symbols which make the fonts look even more consistent. The font package is available here: elbsound.studio/elbs...

Although the thread has been opened a few years ago, the problem still remains.
