Actually, that workaround is useful if all the styles in score and parts are to show in both. Unfortunately, there are some, in some scores, that are unique to either score or part, so just be aware. If that might be the case, best to do it as you go.

This is a known issue, and I have reported it. I am not sure that they will fix it. Anyway, after copying in the score, highlight those measures, right click, and choose to apply the style to score and parts.

I delete all but the custom one(s). Then I save the Library. Remember that metatools don't get saved in a Library. Copying from one document to another is another way to get a custom item (articulation, expression, smart shape )into another file. That is the down-and-dirty approach.

I looked at the online PM manual, and I don't see an option for selecting the folder for the tmp files. With PM, it might be hardwired into the program without an option. Am I wrong about this?

Even though the Layout might have certain instruments listed, they are not all available in the GIfF Maps. They include them as a teaser to get you to buy the full GPO. If you want the brushes, you might have to use the Softsynth.

Fix: Click on “Use Notehead Circle Category Positioning” to de-select it. Click on “Use Notehead Circle Category Positioning” again to select it.
