Since other files work correctly, try exporting your faulty file as XML, and then, import it back in. If that fails to clear the corruption, you might want to send it in to tech support, and see if they can determine the problem.

That’s all done in the Staff menu > Groups and Brackets > Edit…

What plugin panes are you looking for?

There’s no need in Simple to use the Alt-9, if you don’t have Use Current set. In my experience (at least, on barbershop music) you will either have quarter note or eight note tuplets in a song, but rarely both. No. Or at least, none that I've been able to discover. I recently became a Keyboard Maestro user, and after a lot of mistakes, I finally made a shortcut for the cursor to click on the Type drop down, change to MP3, and Save, all with one hot key. Woo hoo! It's saved me a lot of time.

I guess entering the first note before the tuplet may be confusing to some users, in Simple. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Speedy require you to define the tuplet before entering anything?
