Re: Notation question - 'a2' divisi in brass for flex-orchestra?
… I imagine I would need to use 'tutti' once the brass parts all come together on the same note, after 'divisi'? … Most musicians do not speak italian; they will understand ‘Tutti’ - even if it is not entirely correct. To notate correctly: 1) Use ‘Tutti’ to cancel ‘Solo’. ‘Tutti’ means ‘All’. 2) Us...

Re: Vertical overlapping articulations and tie/slurs.
Collisions between ties and articulations may require manual adjustments. A different story is collisions between slurs and articulations. You are using v26 - right? In v26 you can edit the articulations one by one, and tell them to avoid slurs: In the Articulation Designer there is a pop up menu fo...

Indeed the italian term ‘divìsi’ is an option - and not only for strings.

Re: Inserting flat symbol into Score Manager/"Score Name" Insert with Raleway font
On Windows you can enter a flat or sharp in a part name (Manage Parts) by typing Ctrl+Shift+F and Ctrl+Shift+S respectively, without explicitly changing fonts. Is there something equivalent on the Mac? Yes. Generally the Mac version uses the modifier keys Command+Shift where the Windows version use...

Re: Inserting flat symbol into Score Manager/"Score Name" Insert with Raleway font
… I've recently adopted Google's Raleway font (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Raleway) as my default Finale font for things like titles, composer name, and also the name of the part in a piece. Unsurprisingly, however, Raleway doesn't have a symbol for a flat sign … I was wondering, therefore, i...

If I understand you correctly, in the score only the C instrument should display, but you need two linked parts, one in C, and one in Bb - right? You can indeed create different linked parts (with different transposition or clef) from the same score staff. The “secret” is that staff styles can be di...

jose oscar,
In your document you have measure numbers displaying both at the beginning of each system and also on every measure.
Here is another positioning of the measure numbers (= on bottom staff; above the bottom staff at the beginning of each system, and below each barline of the bottom staff):

Re: Key Signature Accidental Octave Placement
earcentred,
Take a look at the attached Finale document.
Is this what you need ?
For Clef 4 I changed Unit -1’s octave placement to -2.
Explanation:
Unit -1 means the first flat
Octave -2 is two octaves below Octave 0.
Take a look at the attached Finale document.

Re: Slash beams parallel to 8th note beam?
There is a way to do it, but it is rather time consuming: 1) Enter the repeated notes as they would sound i. e. repeated 16th's in Layer 1. Then, hide the second of each repeated note. 2) Do exactly the same thing in Layer 2. 3) Flip the stem directions in the layers so that the aligned note's stem ...
