What a great tip, Vaughn. I've always dragged beats beginning from the right side of the measure, but this will change my approach.

Are you writing for tenor banjo or 5-string banjo? I believe that tenor transposes and 5-string does not.

What is the keystroke for elision in the Lyrics Font? Odd that under Help > Character Sets it shows keystrokes for all the fonts except Lyrics.

From the manual: OpenTo create an elision slur between lyrics Choose the Lyrics tool . The Lyrics menu appears. Choose Lyrics > Lyrics Window. The Lyrics window appears. Type the lyrics in the usual way, up to the elision. Type the first syllable. Without adding a space, type a capital I, then the s...

You are all correct. Trashing prefs fixes the chop, but any change to the shape of the palette causes it to immediately reoccur.
Thanks.

Chopped palette in 2014.5
Mike, I think you mentioned this, or something like this a while back. In 2014.5 with Sierra 10.12.5 my tool palette is chopped off as in the attachment. This doesn't happen in 25.4 or 2014. I've tried change the tool size from large to normal but that didn't help. If I stretch them horizontally or ...

When I've had measures like that once in a while I have marked them 4 ½ over 4. Yeah, I know, sorta cutesy, but the song was humorous.

How about Song Grinski, which oddly enough is an anagram of Grossingink.
Oops, I just noticed that it was Hector Pascal who started this thread. In that case, I would go with this anagram:
Carol Hepcats.

Re: Measure over Measure
Ah, yes. Charles reminds me of one of the biggest drawbacks of the Ossia Tool -- that slurs in the origin measure don't get carried over to the target measure. If that doesn't make sense, then welcome to the Ossia Tool. I recall that when I did the project I described I would have to make a slur els...

Mike,
But to see the poster's signature you have to open the topic. I'm asking that the signature somehow be included in the list of topics.
I get it that many of the questions are universal, but just this morning there were several that were not.

Suggest Mac and Windows sections
On the old forum there were separate Mac and Windows sections. I know that some people thought the two sections should have been combined, which is what has been done here, but I often read a question only to get to the end of it and realize it is Windows-specific. I wish that either the two could b...
