Check the Score Manager.
If it lists the wrong patch, you can change it there.

Re: Leans and scoops
The Arrow with the Twist makes a scoop for me, and you can bend it around to tailor the sound.
Maybe put it on the note before you want the scoop.

Re: key changes during playback
Even if all parts were in different keys, it wouldn't sound "out of tune" necessarily.
There's a weird thing Finale does, usually in response to having Glisses,
where it goes amazingly and bizarrely out-of-tune.
Restarting Finale fixes that, tho.
Do post some of your file for us to test!

Re: Buffer Size
Dudes! My Focusrite 2i2 3rd Gen works perfectly with Finale on my iMac. V25. Sample Rate 96, ( it's actually 16/96 ), Buffer 4096, selected in Audio Midi/Device Set-up. Maybe V26 is messed up, but I have 4 Dacs that all work fine with Finale 25, no playback problems. In fact, I'm very happy with pla...

Re: Windows 10 - Sound Too Low in Playback
If I was having those problems on my iMac, well, life wouldn't be nearly as good as it is... I love composing and arranging directly into Finale, and without Playback, and good playback, the Fun would be gone. I make a lot of musical decisions based on what I hear, AND I like hearing what I've writt...

Why do you "Avoid" Garritan/Aria/HP?
They sound so much better than the Synth Instruments, to me.

Re: need to write out a swing equation
Don't include the Eighth note Rest in the Triplet,
unless you want a Choppy, Rik-a-tik sound.
Make it a Quarter Note followed by an Eighth Note.

OK, but I used Extracted Parts before Linked Parts were available.
Now when I use Linked Parts, I never use or check Extracted Parts,
so I don't see how they go together.

I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, $150, that I use with Reaper, $60.
No crashing problems at all on iMac.
No idea how it compares to M-Audio for sound quality.

Thanks for the Tip!
That has happened to me on occasion.
I would just add unwanted Dynamics to correct it, for playback only.

Maybe it's just off the page.
Scroll up and down, or resize page.
I don't see how it could playback if it's gone.

Re: Trumpets sound flat
You can put a paper tube in the top of a Bassoon for Low A...
OR , write it for Contra.
Use the Right Tool for the Job!
When the Tpt gets too low, it's Horn or Tombone -Time!
In Rimsky Korsakov's Orchestration Book,
he lists the Possible Range, and the most Expressive, practical Range.
Good Advice.

Re: Trumpets sound flat
I mean Low E on the horn! This is a Jazz arrangement. Most Jazzers don't play that low, and clearly the whole thing is too low since it ends on that written Low E. I'd come up with a different solution. Lotta Tpt players can "Get" High G. But try writing one. Only a true Lead Player can play that co...

Re: Trumpets sound flat
I haven't had that Volume problem.
I only use Dynamic Expressions, and HP.
I've never had to go inside the Aria Player for adjustments.
I see that there are NO Dynamics indicated at all in this arrangement.

I'm not sure what A4 is, but there is no A , concert or transposed, in the Tpt in bar 17.

Re: Trumpets sound flat
In fact, the Low E doesn't "sound" at all!
I don't know if you can get that 16th note Triplet in the Bass to work on Low E.
That sort of Kick is usual 16ths.
That's very FAST for repeated Pizz notes on the Open String.

Re: Trumpets sound flat
Hi, There were no Inst loaded for the Horn Section, so I added basic Garritan Inst.
The tpt pitch sounds fine, but it's kind of buried in the Mix.
But it is very LOW on the horn, I would Never write down to Low E!!!!
