Yes! That's exactly the problem. I tried breaking the rest and looking for a setting but I couldn't find one.

What's going on with the multi-measure rest numbers? I'm guessing maybe a measure number rest setting. I messed around, but couldn't find it.

I use this constantly; saves loads of time. Every once in awhile, I select a passage, or even just one bar--click "go," and one, or two, different markings don't move. I've tried exiting and coming back in, etc., nothing doing. Any ideas? Are there any known quirks I should be aware of?

Peter, thank you. I know how to flip the slur or the triplet, but not the number "3" for the triplet. Flipping the 3 to the bottom of the triplet would be helpful.

Thanks all. I guess the version I sent was the score....I intended just the flute 1 part, which is attached here; I obliterated all the other parts but it always defaults to showing the score. Simple triplet figure, 3 eighth notes, rest of the bar is just two quarter notes. Just want to flip it over so the "3" in this case is above rather than below. By the first of the year, I plan to have a web site up w/my pieces available, excerpts/sound clips, etc. I'm thinking of getting a pro engraver to prepare the pieces, since I don't have confidence yet that I could get the parts perfect. Well, deleting the fermata definitely fixes it. It happens in other places in the score I didn't send; I'll presume that's probably the issue there as well. you might try assign the following q = 120 just after the first beat (say on beat "1.1"). Okay, I eliminated most of the selection dialogs, so now it will attach. Notice that the first part is fine, then at #38 on, the tempos are playing way too fast. Thanks for the help on this.

Well, I tried that.....I deleted all "parts" under "documents" and I'm left with the Score and clar. part. I guess there's another step....not sure what it is.

Yeah, seems like just waiting and generating the parts when I'm done would do the job.....my visualization is that the linked parts are doing their thing in the background, having nothing to do with me until I summon them via "Generate parts." Then it's a blank slate and I take it from there.
