What is the process of using Aruvarb's lines? I can't figure out how to access them w/ the custom line tool but surely there is a way. I can't imagine this document is suggesting copying and pasting a bunch of symbols in a row...I imagine these line segments (vibratos, squiggles, sawtooth waves etc ...

Nope, spoke too soon. My method applies to all staves simultaneously. I might have to try your suggestion, how do you do that exactly? What I'm trying to do is hide the barlines on one staff and have them visible on the other. Best option?

btw I've never used Staff Styles before but I selected all measures except the final one and chose invisible, that did the trick.

I've got 2 staves, one has the final barline, the other has it hidden.

I've tried it set to normal and to final barline. It's not greyed out it's just invisible in the score for some reason.

To hide stems, one way the Finale manual recommends is:
Special tools
Customer stem tool
Select notes
Open Shape Selection
Create
Ok + ok

That gets rid of them. Now how do you bring them back?

Is Generic PDFX-3 format the best PDF type for Finale? I haven't tried printing PDF graphics (yes I'm importing them) yet, just going off what others here have said.

The preferred file format for vector graphics used to be EPS, but today vector graphics are usually in PDF format.
