Okay, then just add the drum set staff for the clicks and mute Flute #1.

Add a Drum Set staff, enter the metronome clicks and set this staff's attribute "Force Hide Staff".

Beware, your Flute#2 is set to "solo" - so unless you change that, you won't hear the clicks (and neither flute#1).

Just wanted to emphasize that neither the shift key nor the chosen letter key are part of the problem. Only using the Ctrl key leads to the unwanted opening of the dialog. So for me, it's obvious that the Ctrl key is the culprit.

Obviously, the CTRL key is the problem. Using a hotkey without CTRL will make it work.

You might try to turn off Human Playback. This is responsible for a lot of additional MIDI data. Although I haven't heard of a possibility to start demo songs via MIDI, it's worth giving it a try. Does turning off HP change anything?

You could split the one staff to two staves in Finale, but - assuming the left/right hand split is already done in the Logic tracks - try setting the two Logic tracks to different MIDI channels before exporting. This way, Finale treats the two tracks as seperate instruments.
